Fraps is probably the best, but it cost money. If you are looking to purchase one for free, I would say Bandicam for a temp. amount of time.
I use Nvidia shadow play to record my screen since it's always on and I can just use the parts I like but you need an Nvidia graphics card for that. I can't tell you how I record my Minecraft YouTube videos but I don't actually record them, I render them.
i use atube catcher 3.8.9025-studio suite-DsNET cor.2016 its a good recorder which makes things less lagging and can also use stereo mix and microphone and also its free and includes: Stream Catcher,Screen Record,video converter,DVD/bluray/CD creator,audio recorder i been using it for about 2 years now maybe you should try it
I use the full version of Fraps. I just like it because it's easy to use and records at a high resolution at decent fps. The free version of Fraps is also useful just to record trades though.
