I want to make the suggestion that if a player makes a new mod app. We should have an archive for older apps so that we can kind of clean up the posted ones that are open!

I think it helps keep our eyes on the apps that are being looked at, and then we wont have any grave digging into older apps that haven't been locked yet due to lack of posts from either the original poster, or from other people.

Sega suggests that we should in fact put an option for all threads to be moved to certain archives, and I think that is also a very good idea!

 

Was it not already a thing to lock and archive an old application after a new one was created by the same applicant?

 

They lock it, but we don't have an archive, so people tend to grave dig the ones that are still open that the og has not posted on in a while.

 

It is chaotic with all the applications rolling in as well as the old ones. Having one post in that area would definitely clean it up a bit. Support

Are you saying that if the same person makes a new moderator application that they archive the old one? If that is the case they shouldn't have to archive the application, instead the poster should edit his or her application instead of making a totally new one.

 

Some people make new ones because they feel like it is not worth using the same one.

But making an archive can also force all the old locked apps out of the apps page.

Well it's not against the rules to go into a moderator application that is over 30 days old, says so in the rules.
But support, it would organise the forums well.
