i found out how to get away with a scam

    lets say that your trading a spawner for an enchanting table, and the person your trading with has an alt, your recording the trade. the person with the alt could get it to say ''ill pay 20 dias for 1 enchanting table!'' and you would only want to trade the spawner because you want the enchanting table to trade with the alt. so that guys alt will make you buy the enchanting table from the guy that your trading with for something that its not worth. and then when you go to the guys alt to say you want to trade the alt wouldve left and so wouldve the guy that your trading with, and he wouldve bypassed the recording.​

    The safest way to trade valuables is to ask a mod to do it for you using /invsee edit, where we take the items directly from your inventory and process the trade after confirming with both sides. If there is no mod online, you could do it using a trade shop if it is a simple trade (such as a spawner for a certain number of diamonds). Recording is a good idea if you have no other choice, but while it is enough evidence to get the other player banned, we can't always get your items back for you.

    Yeah if you're ever concerned do this!

    Sometimes even donor400s can help as they have invsee but can't move items I believe?

    That is correct, donor 400s can check to make sure both sides have the items in their inventories (a lot of the time a scammer will come to a trade empty handed) but they cannot move the items. That can only be done by a mod :)

    When I first read this I thought, "Well the only way to get out of a scam is to pay your fair share"

    Then I saw this and I was like, "Jesus Christ that is so much info I cant take in"

    But if you were to record both trades, one of your accounts would be banned for scamming and given staff are quick about it we can find the main.
