I am pretty sure that sand generators are NOT allowed because of the fact that you can only get sand from your island, and that it can be unfair to others (just my opinion).

 

But then that will increase the chances of island farming (witch is illegal)

Oh, then its probably allowed to make your island better/bigger because there is no shop in this server.

You cannot make sand generators but you can make sand converters. Just get some sand (red or white) and the it can turn into whichever colour. YouTube usually has some great tutorials.
