New Bank Notes

I found a simple plugin for making banknotes here. You ask, why do I want banknotes?

• Avoid Bankruptcy/Stash for Rainy Day

The first application is for stashing dependable money somewhere. It's not like emeralds or beacons because few people buy those. This would allow you to avoid bankruptcy. You ask "But How?" I present my first example, ebhavlin. He had a shop that allowed me to sell things to him for 500 each, and I sold him like 2 stacks until I got the message "Shop Owner Doesn't have enough money" and I know that he has less than 500 in that account. Having banknotes would make sure that this never fully happens.

• Offline Trading/Paying Players

The second application is trading with offline players or players that can't get on at the same time as you. "Relevance?" you say. "We already have shops." To that, I present my second example, Jbnorman. He and I wish to trade 40 net diamonds for $150k on org. But since /pay doesn't work for offline people, we can't. Banknotes would solve this problem. We could both leave out a chest and then ask a global mod (Krissy RobloxianRoblox and maybe Wilbos_World ) to trade the items for us.

• The physical item

Physical items make it a lot easier to directly give somebody money without using /pay. I have a christmas tree on my island and I want to give my coop members direct money, but I can't. Also, this allows the money to be logblocked for the purposes of trading.
To be clear, I AM NOT ADVOCATING for the removal of /pay and /bal. This is just another way of storing money.

Neutral; it'd be an intresting addition but really there's not much of a need for it, as all of the statements you have listed can be worked around.
For example if a player has no money, they could/would lose your custom, and should have to work around that, as it would be in real life.
Similarly, people can easily arrange to be on at the same time, perhaps on a weekend, to do trades then.

In addition, how would you "draw" money? How would you put it back into your bal?

I personally also think it makes it easier to grief - money in item form means you have to store it, and unless you use a shop, which not everyone knows how to do, it'd be possible to steal money; making the entire experience much less enjoyable and much harder to rebuild from should you be griefed.

Finally, it could be argued that iron and gold already take this place, for example many players already have a very large sum of iron stored, and as it is used in shears and buckets many people buy&sell it.

 

My example, Jbnorman also lags out a lot and can't dependably be on no matter what time it is.
