Make it more like 3-4 letters at minimum. I can understand the forums doesn't want people named with 1 letter but it should be allowed to have a shorter name

you can request for your name to be changed to be as short as you like. thats what i did. mine is currently 6 letters

When I tried to change my name to Jhow, it told me it had to be more than 8 letters

 

He/she is saying you can ask the forum admin to change your name to something with less letters.

 

ohoh I never knew that, thank you for the clarification. Still I think it will be a lot easier and will make the admins job easier as well.

 

I think this is a good idea, especially for users that are creating an account. It would seem frustrating having to put a long name then request for a change after.
