What is the point of "poke"?

I dont rly get it.

LegoCollecter14 keeps poking me, it like a war..

 

It's just a fun thing to do, if the pokes ever annoy you you can not reply to someone's poke and they cannot poke you again, or you can disable it in your privacy settings

I bet most people as the same thing about the cookie rating, but really if I want to rate something, but none of the ratings are how I feel then I'll give them a cookie

 

As said above, it's just something fun to do but it could be there to get people's attention.

It's how to say hello to someone whose profile you are too afraid to post on.

 

everyone has their reason for it, but its just like when people would poke people on facebook.... it was literally just a feature for no reason what so ever and once you started its hard to stop with a certain person... I love this feature so much because its a war item that I use often!
