Well, we don't necessarily need to teach young children how to say "Damn" etc. I don't think their parents would be pleased if their child did something wrong and said "Damn".

My belief is that it may be prohibited for several reasons.
- Religious reasons.
- The word may be portrayed as a word you use when you "dun goofed up". For reasons of pure common logic I will not show you an example.

 

I don't personally consider it a curse word, but if you think about parents probably wouldn't want their kids going around saying that.

 

It's not a curse word in Britain as far as I know but apparently it is in America. It confuses me. I almost got in trouble because I said it in America and I had no idea it was a curse.

We aren't teaching them anything, they could however pick up on it by reading it, but we are not teaching jack.
If "dam" and "dammit" is apparently going through, then it clearly doesn't matter. That or damn the damn admins who don't know how to add those words to the filter if it is such a big deal after all.

Also, they are on the internet. Damn is the least negative thing to encounter besides cat pictures.

Honestly I say Damn and so did my US history Teacher..so I see why not censor it..

(btw I tried saying Saturday and it censored it for some f****ng reason)

To be honest this depends on what your religious beliefs are, though I know many Christians who say "DAMN" consistently.

 

Think about it, would you say 'Damn you' or stuff like that infront of a parent? Or do you want to teach children more cuss words then they already know
