Sorry if something similar has already been made about this, but I couldn't find such content relatable to this subject.

I think buckets should be tradable, because...
a) They can be island farmed, but do they really have much value?
b) That's all I've got to say.

I don't even see why it's illegal if you can trade iron .-.

 

People sometimes think that Iron is too expensive, (like 1 grass for 4, really?) so they just feel it's okay t0 keep making new islands to get lava buckets, without paying that one grass block.

Eh, Neutral for now. This wouldn't stop island farming, in-fact encourage it, seen as people would want to make profit by generating buckets.

 

No support. People can just make new islands to get lava buckets, empty the lava, then sell the bucket for profit and can keep resetting their island to make profit.

 

The profit would be quite minimal, since buckets don't have much value, and no-one really buys them. If anything, people would be island farming for the dirt/sand probably, not a silly bucket.

 

Well, people can keep restarting their island to sell each bucket for around 1 grass. All they have to do is store the bucket in an echest or a friend's island then keep repeating it to earn profit, it would be very easy to earn grass that way.

Who the hell buys buckets?

 

Well, a lot of players that are new like to buy buckets to farm their crops and things like that.

 

I think that if they would just put a cool-down on restarting islands (like 1 a day) then island farming would be gone and this would be legal.

Its a waste of iron..and 3 iron would've gave you like 2-5 grass and not get you banned for island farming

Plus there would be a drastic increase in island farming and people can obtain lava super quickly and sell it for a cheaper price, which can hurt the economy of .NET

 

Unless if you dropped your bucket or lost it AND you're out of iron then yes It would make sense

 

how should they make profit in any way if they restart the island, the inventory gets deleted, and if they can't afford an enderchest they won't be able to keep their profit (there is a way by doing /hat but i think they don't really know about it)

 

well i needed about 30 buckets for a minigame i did, because it included lava and water and the only way to make them come out of a dispenser is with buckets, but what i did was trying to get cheap iron and crafted them, so not really a support, because it's an basic item, that's the reason why it's an illegal trade-item
