Welcome to the new and improved Guide to Skyblock.net!

Lemonade has written a hawt guide on how to begin skyblock. Basically you build a cobble gen, plant trees, and farm. But this server has many things that you have never seen before. Remember, these may seem obvious to you guys who are veterans but the new people don't know this. All these reserved posts are for later additions. #NotPostFarming

The first thing you need to understand is the value of items. These will be ranked by approximate value.

1st: God Items. These are basically worthless because donor(I think 100s) and above can make them for free. They are worth like one grass a stack.

2nd: Gold Nuggets. These are common currency. They are worth 1 grass for 9 of them. They are used mostly in tradeshops to expand the amount of things you can buy.

3rd: Grass and voter keys. These are both obtained from voting or donor kits. Voter keys should be saved up and sold or used. Grass is normal currency. This will be what you use most of all to trade. Everything is based off of the value of grass. You can get grass by doing vote.skyblock.net and vote2.skyblock.net. Don't worry about how you get the other things.

4th: Diamond Pickaxes. These are quite common, from donor kits. Normal picks are only worth about 1 grass, and godded ones are worth 2-3.

5th: Diamonds. These are rare things, worth about 20 grass each or 3 dias per stack. This is used to trade rare things like spawners, beacons, and heads.

Second thing to know is how to trade. You can use tradeshops, chest trades, or drop trades.

A guide to how to set up tradeshops is here. The purpose of tradeshops is to, first, have a shop where people can buy things at any time without you having to be around. Also, you can use them to trade rares, assuming both items are below 1 stack and normal (i.e. not godded, no lore, and textured).

Chest Trading is harder than tradeshops, but still safer than drop trading. The way to chest trade is by /trust'ing your trading partner and having them put their items into a chest and putting yours into the same one. Then, you both take the items you want and remember to /untrust them afterwards.

Drop Trading is a lot more dangerous. It is where you agree to give or get grass for other items. You drop your items and the other person drops theirs. Just be careful if somebody asks you to drop first because they might take your items and run.

Third thing here is what not to do. This includes throwing bad skin comps, putting valuables in item frames, or having bad people in your coop.

1. Bad Skin Comps. This is an issue because greenies (only, never seen a donor do it) spam the chat saying:

This is a problem because god items are basically worthless. So never charge grass or anything remotely valuable when the only prize is god items.

2. As of 10/5/2016, people, even not trusted ones, can steal things in item frames. Don't put valuables in there because they will get stolen. Also, paintings can be broken.

3. NEVER EVER EVER invite people into your coop that you cannot trust. As there is a bug in the system you can only kick people when they are online. That means you could have a griefing member added and not be able to remove them. The only way to avoid this is to leave the coop.

4. Don't walk anywhere, pillar, or jump when you are lagging. You will get kicked for flyhacking.

5. If you need somebody to tell you this, you are in trouble:

Fourth thing is knowing the useful commands.

First command is /home. This command takes you back to your island. If you are at spawn and it says "/home is not allowed in this area" go to the bridge and do it there. Yes, to basically anybody on here who knows this, it's obvious. But I see people spamming chat saying "How do I get home?"

Second Command is /vp. What this does is see the amount of votes left until a vote party. A vote party is an event that is triggered by votes, exactly 300 of them. Votes are generated from voting at vote.skyblock.net and vote2.skyblock.net. When a vote party occurs and you are online, you recieve grass and vote keys randomly.

Third command is /m [Player] and /r. Yes, it's 2 commands but they are similar. What /m does is private message the person so only they can read what you say. If I did /m ssdamage Hello! then ssdamage will see that hello. The use of this command is to talk with people to not clutter up chat and so they will always see your message. It looks like That is ssdamage messaging you and then you messaging back. /r is similar, it stands for reply. It allows you to reply to the last person you messaged. It just speeds things up so you don't need to type /m ssdamage every time. But be careful! If somebody else messages you before you hit enter, they will see what you said instead of the intended player. Usually you can just say 'sry wrong person' but if you are talking about them then...

Fourth Command is /list. What this does is list all online players in order of their rank. This may have some other applications, but the main application for this is to see if there are mods online. If you have any trouble, use /list and message one of the online mods using /m.

5th command is /realname. This is used for people that are donor50 or higher. They have access to a command called /nick, which allows them to choose a nickname for themselves. You could have a person named Jellyman123 use /nick and make themselves LongStick and you won't know who it is by the name. /realname allows you to type '/realname LongStick' and then it will say

Fifth thing is knowing the plugins.

The first plugin is Lockette. Basically what this does is you put a sign directly on a chest and then don't write anything but just exit out. Then, it will say [Private] and then your IGN.

This makes it so only you can access that chest/double chest. A detailed guide to this plugin can be found here.

The second plugin is the tradeshop plugin. A guide can be found here. Explanation in the guide and above.

The last important plugin is the spawner plugin. This plugin allows you to mine spawners and pick them up as long as you have a pickaxe enchanted with silk touch.

Sixth Thing is the forums. Obviously you are know that the forums exist if you are here.

The Forums is the place to be yourself and to get to know the other players. You really can't know the other people when all you see is them typing a few sentences in chat. But what you can do is go onto forums (this place), make an account, and say who you are. Write an introduction (include your IGN) and then go to another forum.

This is the place to make your voice heard. Go to the suggestion forum and browse some of those. It is always nice to see somebody show up and answer every single suggestion with an actual answer so good things might get added.

Go to the discussion and weigh in on the topics. It can spark some lively debate. Just don't debate with

Tagging people is a useful skill to have. Whenever you tag somebody, they get an alert that says you tagged them and they usually check out whatever you tagged them about.

The way to tag people is by putting the @ symbol and then typing their FORUMS name like this: @Ssdamage becomes Ssdamage.

Lastly, watch the Trading [Net] forum under discussion. You might see things that you want to buy and you can sell things there too.

Seventh item on this list is common acronyms and terms we use here (and probably other places)

"Cyp" and "Crew" These refer to CypriotMerks and Noobcrew respectively, who are the owners and easily the most important people on this server.

Tmod, fmod, and smod. These refer to moderator ranks. They each get different privileges based on their rank. Tmod means Trial Mod, the rank you get when starting out. Fmod means Full mod, or a normal moderator. Smod means a super-op-awesome-dedicated mod that has more permissions.

TPS. TPS stands for 'Ticks per second' and normal non-lagging minecraft gets about 20 of them. If that drops below 15, there is lag that needs fixing.

'Net' and 'Org' These are the two servers you can play on. This guide is written for .net, the survival server that uses grass as currency. Org is an economy server, where you can get Skybucks, or money on. This server, sadly is a lot less popular. For every player on .org, there are at least 10 on .net

MV. This stands for mineverse.com, the other server that Noobcrew owns.

TS. This stands for Team Speak, a voice service that allows you to talk to other people online, especially those who play on skyblock. I highly recommend downloading it even though I can't RN.

RN. Acronym for 'Right Now'. Simple.

IGN: Acronym for 'In-Game Name' For example, Krissy's IGN is Krissy_x

This is a list of all the useful warps and what they look like.

To get to any of these, you type /warp [title] where the title is something on this list.
First, a list of all the warps as reported by /warp, a command not usable by normal people.

I will go over all the USEFUL warps and include pictures of those.
/warp animal is a place to get food and drops from chickens, cows, pigs, and sheep. It looks like this.
/warp trade includes /warp grass, /warp tradeshop and /warp crates. Here, you can buy things from the villagers and use voter crate keys. To use your keys, you do /warp crates or walk up to the yellow chest and right click it with a voter key in your hand. You will get random rewards view-able here, along with percentages. /warp grass allows you to buy things that are normally not obtainable on skyblock, like saplings, mycelium, bricks, ender chests, and more! /warp tradeshop is useless because the tutorial has been gone for forever. INSERT PICS and stuff.
/warp die is useless, just an island where all there is is a place to die or have drop parties.
/warp donor is a secret for reasons.
/warp illegal, illegals, and rules all take you to the same place, one that describes the rules and what items are illegal to trade/own. INSERT PICS and things.
I forgot where /warp info takes you, ping me so I'll check.
/warp mob is a place where you can kill evil creepers, skeletons, spiders, and MAYBE other mobs. But as of 10/10, it was glitched.
/warp noobspawn explains VERY basic things that are either explained here or in lemonade's guide so I won't go into it.
/warp parkour is what is sounds like - a bunch of parkour where you can fall and die.
/warp pvp is the only place on the server where you can fight players directly. There are no rewards for kills and no cost (no items lost) for dying. It is purely for fun. However, durability on armor and weapons still gets used up.
/warp skybase and skyblock are useless, unless somebody is hosting a drop party there (not likely at /warp skyblock).
/warp spawn is just that - spawn. Also reachable by /spawn.

This is the FAQ section where I will answer some of the commonly asked questions that new people ask. Feel free to ask more questions and I will answer those here.

How do I get grass?
Type /vote, click on the links in chat, OPEN THEM, put in your name, click the checkbox, and submit your vote. You can do both the links once a day.
Can I buy some dirt?
This is the first thing I asked. No, you may not. It is illegal to give away, sell, or buy dirt. Also, it is illegal to do /newisland replace just to get the dirt or sand. To get more dirt, vote or buy grass and make your grass into dirt.
Can I have some sand?
No, you cannot. You cannot buy, sell, give away, or receive any NORMAL SAND. However, RED SAND is perfectly legal to trade or give away. You can mainly buy RED SAND from donors for 1 grass each. Just ask any of them.
Can I have some buckets of water or lava?
You cannot have any buckets in any form, filled or not. If you want buckets, buy iron and craft them. For water, ask to buy ice in chat. For lava, you can buy obsidian, place it, and right-click it with a bucket, which will yield lava.
Where do I use my voter key?
Type /warp crates and click the middle chest that says 'Voter Crate' with the key in your hand.
Can I be a mod?
If you have to ask the question here, no.
Are there any mods online?
To check this, do /list and if mods show up on the bottom and are not AFK, you can message them with your query.
Can I join your island?
This is situational. If you have to ask, the answer is likely to be no. If I invite you, then yes of course you can join.
Can I have free stuff?
Maybe. Fill out this form and we will talk about it.

Last thing is some general tips that I have learned, mostly the hard way. This will start out as the shortest list and probably end up as the longest list.

Number 1: Record the coordinates of your bedrock. This will help should you get griefed or lose your island.

Number 2: Don't Buy anything that you haven't bought before until you ask chat the price of that item. I got ripped off on an untextured block yesterday because I thought "Wow, only 4 diamonds! Awesome!" when they were worth 2 diamonds.

Number 3: Never /trust people that say

These people will most likely grief you because nobody pays to honestly join somebodies island. Remember, his name won't be grieferguy666 but they will grief you.

Because my slow computer poops on itself for about 2 minutes (literally, timed it once) every time I click 'Edit' on the one long post. Also, it's a pain to scroll the whole thing and it looks terrible IMO.
