once cuz I went to this art club thing (which sucked) after lunch everyday and one day we were doing a big project for a teacher and the art teacher told my frand and I to take a break so we sat in the hallway and played flappy bird then she saw us and took my phone and told us 2 go back to class

 

They actually do have the right under the code of conduct. At least thats how it is in NY

 

I've never had mine taken away. We're not allowed to use them in lessons anyway.

 

I take my phone to school everyday, but the worst part for me is to remember to put it on silent, I gave a perfect example to my class to make sure it's on silent today in German, teacher was not happy but she didn't take my phone. We are sometimes allowed them in lessons, and when we are, no one actually uses them for what we're supposed to be doing with them. You can just here pings from mobile phones from people texting each other from the other side of the class, which is why you shouldn't be in a lot of group chats

I only use mine before class starts. We can use them in Language Arts for projects, but she doesn't allow it unless we don't have our chrome book.

 

I never do that stuff because my teachers watch over us like ****ing hawks.

 

I've only been caught listening to music last year. I had earbuds in and she saw it but she didn't take it away.

I turned it back on right after because I didn't give a shi.

I usually just use it when I go to the bathroom or when we're doing independent work. I check social media, that's really it.

Never, I don't even bring my phone to any of my classes. I have teachers who threaten to take it away if they just see it in your pocket, so it's best not to risk it.

 

They say that your phone is school property once you step into campus

 

We use ipads and laptops at my school so I dont need to use my phone but last year I still got caught hella ton.

 

As long as you don't google answers to a test or game on it, my school lets you use a phone everywhere. It's pretty relaxed as far as rules go. I haven't gotten my phone taken away, but I've been in trouble for looking up prices of Trump Tower hotel rooms and checking Steam.
