Hello, So as you have probably noticed there are a ton of moderator applications currently open. However as we know some need to be closed.

Applications that haven't been replied to by anyone for 1 month.
Applications that are made by people who don't meet the requirements for staff.

Why?
There are way to many applications open right now and some that are just going to sit and do absolutely nothing. And of the person does come back their application can easily be re- opened.

The moderator application section is very full, and there are many applications with people that do not meet the requirements and that are really old. It would be nice to get them locked, or many make an archive where all the locked ones go so there is room for the ones that have met the requirements, and are active. However, many people still bump their application from long ago, and people still like to comment although, that person may not be running anymore.

 

That's true, especially when we're just adding more work for the moderators, it's not really needed.

If it was more like 2-3 months it would get locked perhaps?

Even then, the applier would be scared to get the thread locked so they'd probably just bump it anyway. So honestly there would be no point...

 

agree, partially. In some mod apps, people say no support just for messages.

 

I disagree with this, if people want to keep their application open until they've achieved them then that should be fine.

Very true, there are way too many unused applications.

 

Yeah, Ill put it out to 2-3 months depending on what mod chooses
