I've noticed this trend where new players place their lava above their bedrock. This isn't intentional. They just have limited space for their cobble gens. So when they /home, they die. If a mod is on and I see this, I message them to help pick up the lava. But there isn't always a mod online. A lot of new players don't know how to /msg and aren't familiar with the /trust command. I am suggesting that lava be unable to be placed above bedrock. This would also prevent scallywags from creating death traps. Let me know what you think.
Full support, this is a great idea, and maybe like a pop up message like "Please place your lava somewhere else on the island" just so it won't confuse the new players.
Split opinion. Lava above your bedrock can be used as decoration if there's glass over it. So it would have to be only directly on top of the bedrock in my opinion.
Leon makes a good point. Having it only not allowed on the bedrock or the block above would prevent most, if not all, the lava traps people make for themselves on accident. Maybe not just one above bedrock, but two because some people have dirt above their bedrock and then place the lava.
