No I'm dismissing your argument because it is based on the mindset that everyone should be the same and that it is unfair for anyone to get ahead in THEIR OWN PERSONAL GAMEPLAY and that mindset is both unrealistic and wrong. It also enforces the idea that I'm somehow causing you grief and negatively affecting YOUR OWN PERSONAL GAMEPLAY by getting the perks I do. But as an aside, what do greens do to help keep the server alive? Take out all the donors for 3 months and see how fast this server goes to hell in a handbasket. Yes all in 1 400$ purchase. 400$ is a lot to spend on a game, so why wouldn't the perks reflect the value of money spent? You make it sound as if that kit is overpowered but 1. The amount of people able to afford 400$ is small and it fairly reflects the amount of money spent and 2. Most people who get kit 400 don't just outright buy it, the work up to it from lower kits while being active, supporting and playing on the server and starting as greens like everyone else. So yeah, why not make it badass If the people getting it are long time veterans who support and play on the server regularly over a long peiod of time?
K Never mind that in the whole thread I have been advocating that the server is not pay to win and have been bringing up solid points in the defense of our donors right? Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I337 using Tapatalk
Mmyes that would make the price of diamonds rise. Unless there is a server reset, or a diamond sweep. Wowowow where did you get from I was talking about communism? I was talking about PURE capitalism, without backdoors. Some are rich by buying richness with IRL money, others by trading ingame, but there are riches and poors on both sides. Saying that the fact some get rich faster doesn't affect anyones gameplay needs some backup. The last time I made a real life analogy, you fell onto me like a swarm of killer bees. Just saying. On the argument itself, there are no perks in real life you can buy with stuff from another dimension
Maybe communism is an extreme analogy but greens seem to be in that mindset of "everything should be fair 100% and no one should be afforded better opportunities without having to work hard". Yeah, people who donate have more resources but that's life really. It doesn't affect your gameplay because whether I get rich or not should be none of your concern. You are going to be poor whether I'm rich or not or vice versa, and my island and resources are not yours. I mean we literally all have perfectly isolated islands, so whether or not I can get rich fast or slow should not affect what you do during your play time. People who can't donate are just upset that they see someone who doesn't have to work as hard because they have money. I only fell onto your analogy because I see people harassing mods and comparing them to someone who spends their entire life studying law seemed extreme. Making economical comparisons is relevant because this game has an economy. And it's more to the fact that everyone is not afforded the same opportunity in life. Some are born into good families or rich families and some are born into poverty, but you don't spend your whole life complaining about everyone who had better circumstances than you, you just work hard and try to enjoy your life. With riches I would not say it is impossible to get rich, but unlikely. First off, in my opinion, not many people trade to non-donors, because they ignore them. Many associate non-donors to poor. When I was a Non-donor, I did have some struggles, although the I still managed to get rares. I believe it is just based on determination
You don't win skyblock, you play it for the fun of it.. Also buying ranks just makes you richer and unlocks some commands. There are no factions or anything so how is this ''pay to win''.
Non donors who are reputable and stay with the server actually can get trades. Its the 99% of greens who play for a week and beg for stuff for cheap that get ignored. Ive met plenty of greens that were active and participated with donors in trades events and builds. It all comes down to the player though, as everyone is different. When i was active and before i gave away literally everything on my island including the island itself last year i would regularly trade to greens Hell i would even donate and build for them and just tell them to pay whatever they could on my builds.
I guess the big question then is why do people get so mad that im paying to make my own personal experience better. That's the crux of my argument. It affects me, not you, so why would you get bent out of shape about it (thats a general you and not aimed at you specifically.) Sent from my SM-N920P using Tapatalk
They're mad because they either can't afford, or don't want to donate, but they want the permissions of donors.
I guess it depends on your definition of "winning". Many people may define winning in terms of how many beacons you have, but at the end of the day it depends on the individual.
So you donors didn't donate to win (in the meaning of "achieving your goals") easier? So tell me, why did you donate then? Maybe some, very few, legit did it to support the server. And the rest?
This is a strawman argument. We have already agreed that paying gives you great perks. The issue is why it upsets people, not the technical term of "pay to win" Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I337 using Tapatalk
