Some of you guys take this mod thing way too seriously. Like really, mods are not like judges. They are moderators on a freaking videogame. Stop getting butthurt. If you get muted for cussing stop cussing. If someone else cussing on a videogame and getting away with it seriously ruins your gaming experience thay much (it doesnt) then ignore them in chat or turn off chat or play another server. I swear these mods deal with like 200+ people spamming chat all day every day and you guys take every chance you get to slur them and report them. I mean damn really, you seriously just compared videogame mods to federally appointed jusges. Wtf man....

Also I don't care what you say, if someone donates 400$ to support my server you're damn straight I'm gonna give them more leeway than some green who is just spamming chat and probably won't be around tomorrow anyways.

When someone is bringing up agruments, you shouldn't counter with assumptions on personal motivations, as it is very immature and can go totally wrong. Like now, as I have barely been kicked once, never banned or muted, and get along very well with the mods, while I didn't spent a single cent on this server (for now).

Also, mine was not to be understood as criticism, but as a suggestion, and the judge thing was an analogy. The first ones to take the mod thing very seriously are the mods themselves. Otherwise, they wouldn't apply for mod in the first place and would not have been chosen to be mod. So when they get suggestions offered or constructive criticism, you can assume that they listen to it and you should leave it up to them to judge whether it is just "butthurt" criticism as you say, if there is something good within to take home or better just say no thank you.

I've seen this problem a lot, this is why I bailed on my moderator application. I just find it incredibly unfair, and in my green bean days, I saw it more as I was constantly on the server. It annoys me more than anything, but hey, what are we to do? They keep denying it and making excuses.

Regardless, I don't think mods should be held to the same standard as a federally appointed judge. Analogy or not, it's way too unrealistic and unnecessary bar to set. And referring punishment to another mod makes no sense. They werror chose for their ability to moderate. And if you haven't been banned or muted and you're cool with the mods then this post obviously doesn't apply to you, but your analogy is pretty much what's wrong with people on this server. They want mods to do their job like some super duper perfect nodding robot but then they wanna see how much they can get away with then get mad when they get in trouble.
Sorry if it looked like I was flaming you, I just had to get all the mad out.

 

Also I should have formatted my original post netter because the only thing that was really aimed at you was the whole judge thing. Everything else was pretty much aimed at the kids who flame mods for being biased and get mad that people who spend loads of money on the server get more leniency

 

Guess: some donors are great friends with mods so they give them more advantages than just some random greenies.

 

Guess it depends on perspective.
