The most secure trading, if chest trade is not possible, is still trading through a chest, as it can be logged by mods and is CLag-proof. This is how it works: Take a screenshot (F2) of the Trade Agreement (very important! If there is no proof that the trade was agreed, nothing can be done by mods. Prefer confirming the trade a second time so it's unequivocal). Put a locked chest in a room with a locked door. Make sure there is another platform below the trade room in case of spleefing (The trusted trader could brake the block beneath you in an attempt to kill you). Invite the trader to enter this room, put his IGN on the chest lockette, then /trust him. You both open the chest and put the goods and payement in it, no matter in which order. When the trade went through successfully or if anything goes wrong, immediately /untrust him. Done. If anything went wrong, post a Report with the screenshot of the trade agreement and the coordinates of the chest. Mods can see into a logfile that tells them when and who put what item into that chest. Together with the one single screenshot of the trade agreement, this is an indisputable proof in case of scam. Furthermore, noone could pretend that the items he dropped had been cleared by ClearLag, as items in chests are not affected.
Drogo suggests locking your island before trusting them also as they could visit you and quickly access/break anything near your spawn.
The trade takes place on the Island. How is this supposed to work with a locked Island? Also, you can quickly /untrust someone before he can make too much damage and then Report him for griefing (broken / added blocks can also be logged). This is the reason for the trade room with locked door. The only way to escape is to warp away or to brake through the wall blocks. If the Trader dissapears before the trade or starts braking blocks, /untrust him without delay. I will however add this to my guide: Make sure there is another platform below the trade room in case of spleefing.
You lock the island after they are on it. Drogo has done similar to this before, and after trusting one guy, he told me that he had to go home to get the payment but then went straight back to my spawn. Drogo had tracer and xray on so knew exactly where he was. It's just another assurance.
Oh good Point. I didn't think of this, probably because my trade room is just next to the spawn. On the other Hand, this can't be done when trading more than what fits into one inventory, p.e. DC trades. Then the trader MUST warp away and then back to fulfill the trade.
Good Guide but what is the most secure way to trade for me in Net is setting up a trade shop of the deal. I know sometimes there is that bug but meh
Most secured: A MOD to check they have the items in there inventory, /inv see A MOD watching the trade If no Mods online: Pressing F2 when you see the agreement, the person confirming the agreement, then doing the trade. If he leaves, type /seen [scammer] and F2 that too. After that, go to the Skyblock Forums (Here) and report the scammer. I hope that I have helped and have a nice day!
