This has been a interesting topic for some time in chat; though naturally chat doesn't last forever; so i'm taking it here
Simply; do you think .Org will go down in the near/far future? If so; why?

I personally think it will as there is very; very few people on at most times, and that number is dwindling (While I hate to admit it)

I think that it be shut down too soon, but maybe players will start losing interest, if we don't have a reset soon.

Unless something bad/big happens that can't be reversed, I doubt it will go down

that's something i hadn't thought about lol - skywars only went down because of a major glitch (apparently); so maybe (hopefully) it'll be like that with org
meaning it'll last a lot lot longer

Like last time org reset it was due to duping (I believe). which I assume made many people overly rich, and they couldn't reverse that.

I don't know if there will be a reset, but IMO, there needs to be one.
Org is just about grinding now, no fun at all.

would a reset really change that though?
and take those people that've paid for spawners - how would you manage giving them back after a reset?

I think you get them every time the server resets.
Not sure about that though, I got my spawner from donor25 upgrade back on an earlier reset, but no spawners back from the latest.

An interesting question of the day to answer...
So the question is will Org shut down? Well, the answer is, "Possibly."
Minecraft isn't as popular as we think it is, and with Skyblock not at the top of the list, the popularity of Skyblock is few to none compared to other servers. While problems arising causing players not to play the server are mostly not the server's fault, its an issue for all servers on Minecraft to consider

If you go through the records, you can realize the servers such as, "MP," "HP," "MV" or even, "Skyblock" have decreased dramatically (I shortened the names of other servers to avoid advertising). So that poses the question, will popular, and non-popular servers are shutting down? Well, a few servers have (not on purpose or anything) already shut down because of population decretion, and yes I just made up the word, "Decretion" right there and then.

Speaking of Org, I've not been on in forever, but last time I was on it was deader than a door nail. So what about now? Most likely dead as well with a group or two of people on throughout the day. So, does this mean Org is going down? Most certainly not! It's up to the community to decide that. If the community decides to log on more and support the server more (positively), then yes the server will keep going. But, at the rate, it's going (a slow rate, I must add) it most likely will fall.

I hadn't actually mentioned the popularity so i'll mention it now lol - org gets at most 20 people during the day; usually at about 8 pm ish here ( uk time; 3pm america time).
Past that; there has been times where i've been alone in the mornings; but the average daily is around 10 people

    Furthermore:
this seems an Important factor to consider - minecraft isn't nearly as popular as it used to be; as with many games it just gets dull after a while. perhaps that is the curse of multiplayer; where-in when a game gets stale and very few people play the servers die down a lot, this is especially prominent considering minecraft has been going for multiple years now; and it's not exactly gaining more fans overnight

Maybe it's not a problem with org becoming less popular; but minecraft itself

Very true, if you look at Minecraft's most popular servers and look at their population graphs over the past months, it's decreased a lot. Mainly people who don't like the updating or didn't like how they updated the game. I mean you also have to consider how Mojang updated very slowly for a good few years and now all the sudden when their population is dropping in multiplayer they breaking in the old rules they set, along with massive updates which honestly irritated the rest of the community that hadn't left yet.

Also, the gaming genre is about to evolve into VR and Minecraft is most likely going to be left in the dust like some ET video game back in the 90's (heh, gaming jokes). So, in general, servers are going to have to find a different way to carry their communities to the next decade if they want to survive that long.

i'll shout to that; i hate 1.9 personally; and 1.10 is just glitchy. (such as the "cant see chests" glitch)

and same with this; though i dont think VR will become it's own seperate thing; like a console; so minecraft will still be accessible, but not as much as other titles, such as literally any on steam
to get minecraft nowadays you comparitively have to dig, it's not just find a game and read about it it's look at youtube, ask mates, etc.
minecraft in general just doesn't have the advertising it used to; and therefore neither do the servers

this is noticably less of an issue more commonly - very few servers (that i've seen) have uptaded to 1.10/1.9, but are simply 1.8 compatable, such as org. I run 1.10 but can still run org
