You know, I've been holding all of this in for.. Well, I don't know how long, only been telling people about parts of it when no one's watching, but I can't really hold this in anymore, and since I have no use for forums in general at this point, I figure that I should post this now, or else I'll never get around to it.

    Let's start, shall we?

So, let's start with the crap wrong with the forums.
    There's a lot.
Okay, I'll just make lists to make this prettier. Or I wont. Depends on how lazy I am. Guess I will.

    • Bias. The forums is so stupidly biased against so many things, which leads me into this next one..
    • Friend group only(ish). Seriously, look around the forums. Almost all of you are too blind to everything wrong with forums, and so nearly none of you (There's a small amount of exceptions) are willing to post anything that MIGHT EVEN SLIGHTLY make someone think less of you, much less give a negative rating.
      NEGATIVE RATINGS.
      OH NO.
But, almost no one here says what they actually think, and thus the forums is a blind place of where everyone is too scared to get a bad reaction (Try and look around the forums for a post regarding Cyp that doesn't kiss up to him. I dare you) from anyone they know, and most are afraid of being "kicked out", so to speak, of their little base of friends to say anything that they truly feel.
    • Mod love. Now, don't get me wrong, I like most of the staff team, and liking the team, being nice to them, is okay. After all, they keep the peace.
But lots of you take it to a much higher level.
Look around, people kiss up to the mods almost as much as they do to Cyp. It's insane, frankly, and I honestly think that most of you are doing it just so the mods might put a good word in with Cyp so that you can get mod.
    • Mod tryhards. Holy crap, now none of you can disagree with me on this, and if you are, either you're literally blind, or you're metaphorically blind, in the way that I stated on the second bullet on this list. Anyway, the forums AND in game is FILLED with tryhards for mod. Here's a good example; when I joined forums, back in.. What, late 2014? Early 2015? I dunno. But anyway, my profile was empty for a loong time. Basically until late 2015, or mid 2015 from my Hellblock buds. Now, go look on a new member's profile. It's filled with "Hello! Welcome to the forums! If you have any questions, make sure to send them to me! :D". Does that not scream "I'M TRYING REALLY HARD FOR MOD HERE MAN"? Because to me, it does.
There's a bit more, but I'd be getting into things with specific people, and I don't want to sever too many relationships (I mean, I really don't care, I don't keep contact with nearly anyone on forums, so I'd happily cut most forum friendships without a care in the world. But meh), as well as I don't want to get banned on forums for rudeness.
    Meh.
Anyway, on to the actual servers. I'd do net in detail, but I don't play net much, and thus I can't make a comprehensive list out here.

But that won't stop little ol' Goden from trying, will it now?
    • Mod tryhards. I'm putting this here again, because it's most obvious on net. The chat is FULL with people asking if anyone needs help, and people spamming the chat with answers to the same question.
Let the mods answer the questions more maybe, it's their job to do it. I mean, if no mods are on, by all means, help the dude, but if there's a mod, and if it's not afk, it's that mod's job to answer questions and help out, not the player's.
    • Pay to win. Net is one of the biggest pay-to-win servers that I've ever seen, and I've seen a lot of servers. On net, it's impossible to find a non-donor that's richer than a Skygod. Unless that skygod gave away his/her riches, or just used them. Kits are too op, and people shouldn't be spending $400 on a minecraft server anyway (coughcoughStelcoughcough). It's a block game. You could buy a god damn month's meal for starving children in Africa with $400.
Hell, you could probably buy half of the ramen to last you through four years of college with $400.
Yeah yeah, not a big list, whatever.
On to org, where I know stuff.
    • Mod tryhards.. ish.. There isn't so many on org, but there are some. There are even some who migrate from Net just to try for a mod tag here, hoping that with a smaller playerbase they have a bigger chance. Again, it's not too big on org, but it's there.
    • Mod inactivity. Lord almighty, the mod inactivity is strong on Org. Now, Fintan, I don't want to hurt your feelings mate, but I thought of you as an example first, and I figure I should use that then.
From what I've heard, a month after Sakura got SMod (A bit more I think actually), Fin told her congrats. One month. Either you're oblivious as hell, or you're inactive. It's one of the two, and I don't think it's the first one. But anyway, there are also mods that haven't been on for over two months (There's three or four I think), and on Net, there's that one N.. idk, three letters, then numbers, but he's been gone for forever, and because his comp is broken. Demote him and promote him when he's back maybe?), and that's just not okay. Org is running out of signs for the mod column, and the mod column hosts about two active mods. In fact, Org is home to two active supermods, and about three active mods, depending how you look at it.
      It's pitiful.
    • Pay to win. This aspect is still here, though it's a bit more even because of the smaller economy. There's two people on Org who used to be non-donors when they first became rich (Being frank and Sonnung), then they both got donor. There's some others, but org mainly has donors making money.
    • The economy itself. Grinding needs nerfed, prices need raised, and so much more. You can get over one million in a day from just grinding, and that does not stack well at all for the economy.
    Again, there's more, but laziness.
Now, there's tons more I could list, but I don't have all day here, and I got one and a half hours of sleep last night, so this was probably the wrong day to do this. Oh well.
Take this how you want though, I don't really care, take offense, don't take offense, that doesn't change things at all, and things probably wont change. Skyblock has been in a slow decline for about a year and a half now, with the playerbase growing slowly smaller, and eventually it'll be gone.

    Corruption is great, isn't it?

But hey, that's just my opinion.

-Final note here, rate this negative if you want, I don't care, but remember one thing for me if you do.
Rating it negative only proves my point.
    You're blind.

Stuff that I've stuck in goes here-

I don't think you are right.
Mini modding is not answering questions. Mini modding is when someone spams the chat for example and a normal player (not Mod) says "Please do not spam" or something like that. That is what mini modding is. Also I disagree when you say staff is inactive. Sorry but you cannot judge if someone is active or not. Reason why you cannot judge that is, because in the world there is different time zones and when for you it is day, for some players it is night.
I know there is some people that really try hard to get Mod and I agree with this.
I don't quite get what you mean by forums is bad or something like that. Please can you provide any things you do not like on forums. Then they may get fixed. No one is trying saying they like Mods so they don't get kicked or something like that.
I come plenty understand you wanted to say those things since you weren't able to keep it for yourself. That is your opinion and I am not going to try change it.
    Best regards, Rolly

Usually the "try hard mods" are new to the staff team and are not experienced but still tru tho this bullet lool

"biased against many things" Like what?
That is personal choice. Some people don't want negative ratings. I don't see that as something wrong with the forums.
It's not called kissing up. It is called respecting the admin who helps keep the servers alive. We don't want people going around crap talking the admin. Why is that something thats wrong with the forums? Who cares if we praise the admin.
Now this is just silly. There is nothing wrong with people praising mods either. Is this a list of what it wrong or just what bugs you.
People are allowed to try for mod and one of the best ways to do so is help on the forums. Now I am convinced this is a thread of stuff that annoys you.
    Thats... sad.
    More of what annoys you
You dont "win" on net. People who use the word pay to win on non pvp servers... Net is pay for perks that make your life easier when building and trading but since skyblock is a gamemode that is based on player based goals there is no "win". Therefore not pay to win at all.
third times a charm but really there is nothing wrong with people working hard to get what they want. Most people who call others try hards are more jealous of what those people are doing because they are too lazy or proud to do it for themselves.
Actually im not blind. What I am reading is you ranting on about what annoys you. Mod activity and org grinding are the only things actually wrong with skyblock on the list but you choose to just choose things that bug you.
If you want to know what is actually wrong with skyblock, just look around at the increased amount of toxic players that have spread around our server making it less fun for those around them. More people are leaving because of "salt" than because of those things that annoy you. The only people who are "blind" are those who choose to stay out of the drama.
I love this server and plan to stick by to the end if I can.

People make these threads and nothing changes because one thread wont change a common mindset around all servers :(

Theres always gonna be people that kiss up to the admins and mods, people who try way too damn hard to the point that its annoying, and people who spend $4000 on a [edited] minecraft server (although I hate the cliche feed africa remark )

I disagree with you on the bias and no unpopular opinions remark, however. I like roaming this forum purely because everyone has different opinions on stuff and it makes the community diverse. There are always gonna be the people that agree with Krissy on every post but what can ya do? :/

I only have to say, if they needed grinding then it would be impossible for anyone that plays moderately to make ANY money...

Dead. Lmao. Since I have a lot to say about this, I guess I'll just split it up.

"That is personal choice. Some people don't want negative ratings"
It's not that they don't want them, it's that when something comes up that they have a valid opinion against it, if they think that it might reduce their chances of getting mod in a slight way (Lots of people try for mod for the popularity, don't even try to argue there. Take note how I said "try", btw).

"It's not called kissing up. It is called respecting the admin who helps keep the servers alive. We don't want people going around crap talking the admin. Why is that something thats wrong with the forums? Who cares if we praise the admin."
Oh come on Krissy. I thought you were more informed than this. "respecting the admin who helps keep the server alive" Yeah, and the same admin who backstabbed his staff team time and time again? I gotcha.

"Now this is just silly. There is nothing wrong with people praising mods either. Is this a list of what it wrong or just what bugs you." It is in fact a list of what's wrong, and it's not just me who feels this, obviously. A couple people already said here that they agree with some of this, and I've heard so much in game from tons of people that aligns quite closely to this.

"People are allowed to try for mod and one of the best ways to do so is help on the forums. Now I am convinced this is a thread of stuff that annoys you."
    See above.

    "Thats... sad.
Is it really? Really? Well, answer me this. If not caring/having feelings about severing relationships with close friends, why did Cyp do it with over 5 members of the staff team? Exactly.

    "More of what annoys you"
    More of see above.

"You dont "win" on net. People who use the word pay to win on non pvp servers... Net is pay for perks that make your life easier when building and trading but since skyblock is a gamemode that is based on player based goals there is no "win". Therefore not pay to win at all."
I see you completely skipped over the part about people spending absurd amounts of money on a skyblock server. I'm taking that as you agree, then.

"third times a charm but really there is nothing wrong with people working hard to get what they want. Most people who call others try hards are more jealous of what those people are doing because they are too lazy or proud to do it for themselves."
I'd like to see factual evidence of that, please and thank you.

"Actually im not blind.
The only people who are "blind" are those who choose to stay out of the drama."
I think you are blind,, considering how much I've disproved you here, and also considering that you seem to know nothing about the things that Cyp has done. Funny. And again, it's not stuff that just annoys me, it's stuff that annoys many other people, that encompassing the large playerbase that I don't consider "blind". Also, I like how you said the two things that are mainly on org are problems. If you can't see problems with net, then that's pitiful. Net has as much, if not more, problems than Org does, and mainly because Net is bigger, thus leading to a larger toxic playerbase. Also, I did list that toxic players are spreading around the community, that was one of my main points. I'd like it if you read things thoroughly before you complain, please and thank you.

    Also,

    I did say $400 ;3

This server went to hell once the wave of old donors and old staff left. The lack of experience among the new upcoming staff team and poor administration left the server destroyed. And no offense to the new donors (not that I care if you do take offense), you're all so stupid and lower my IQ.

There's like 10 players that have joined from 2015-16 that I've actually found cool and like to talk to.

This server can't go anywhere. We have an owner that I'm pretty sure doesn't care about anything except the servers up and money coming in. Cyp doesn't care for much more. He just simply uses his powers to spoil his girl friends.

Nothing new has really been added to net since 2012 except Trade Shop. Simply things to be removed. Heck, maybe that's why 2012 net was always full. There was actually things to do on here. And the fact it took 4 years to add a simple, begged trade plugin boggles my mind.

How about you look at it in a new way, a way most of the people here can't comprehend. Criticism. Just become someone starts talking crap, doesn't mean it's hates. It's a way for people to open their god damn eyes. But clearly most of you metaphorically can't open your eyes thus every thread about the staff team is locked. (Yes this all down below isn't going to be criticism because frankly I don't care)

    Now for what you said;

Give me a legit reason to praise the admin. Oh yes, I'll praise an admin that checks suggestions maybe once a week. One that barely watches mod activity. One that is just as inactive as half of the other mods are. And while we're praising him for that, let's talk about the 200 player average drop between 2012-2016. Let's talk about all the things we don't have. We should talk about all the cool bigger sky block servers because those are actually cared for. And last of all, let's praise an admin that doesn't refund people's rares, world edits things onto the girl's island he's flirting with, and last of all, giving free sky god to his new girl. Positives? I honestly don't see any. SLG resigning was the death on the server. The difference is players here aren't praising Cyp for what he does, they're just simply sucking his d***

Mod praise is stupid and just huge suck up threads. If you like them, send them a PM thanking them. No need for stupid threads about it. Remember why the Staff Feedback section was removed? It wasn't feedback just sucking up.

Mini modding, the thing everyone hates. Players hate it. Mods hate it. Yet mods encourage it? o_O

You clearly don't understand pay to win. It isn't about physically "winning." It's about giving ridiculous advantages. A server that isn't pay to win is Hypixel. Let's compare the two. Say on Hypixel, someone's playing skywars. A non donor can easily beat a MVP+ in a pvp battle, because the MVP+ has no gameplay advantage for the most part. On here, if a donor50 and a non donor had a race to 10 diamonds. The donor50 would easily win, simply because of kits. Hence, pay to win.

Edit: Probably won't be responding to anything people say to me. Because everyone has their opinions here and it's near impossible to change their views.

This is an issue I have seen raised in chat on various occasions on net so I just wanted to input my opinion. Most of us have been a mini-mod at least once, including myself. I have no issue with players helping people in chat, however some people can be extreme and spammy. I tend to notice more people mini-modding once they're aware a Moderator is online mainly to get their attention and show they're helping the server.

I noticed a player who usually mini-mods in chat while I was on a non-donor account. I tested them to see if they would actually help someone, so I asked for help in chat. They ignored me and continued talking to someone else. I asked them multiple times yet they never responded. I assume either they didn't see me or they were just trying to make it look like they were helping previously. However, there are many other people that want to help players on the server, which is why a lot of them mini-mod. I don't mind when players help others in chat if there's no Moderator online or if they're AFK. I also don't mind mini-modding when there is a Mod online and they're not AFK, just as long as they're not spamming and they're doing it for the right reasons (not just to get attention to their application), but because they actually want to help.

Sorry if I've made any mistakes. It's late.

No hate, but you are a prime example of kissing up to the mods. You consistantly mini-mod in the most unhelpful ways, for example asking if a player wants a thread locked when the player already has asked for one!

Actually, it is fair to criticize a mod for being inactive. a mod helps KEEP the server safe, like virus-protection. If mods start to go inactive, there is no more protection. what happens? virus protection goes offline.

Timezones? the guy literally stated that the player hadn't been ONLINE that means NO login in.

I have a lot to say about this, and not much time, so I'll shorten it for you...

I personally, hate getting negative ratings, along with many other people. Why? Because negative ratings mean that somebody found what you said rude, or wrong, etc. I hate that what I say can be rude, because I generally like, and want to be, a nice person who people get along with. As for people saying you're wrong, I am more ok with that, however it's better for people to agree with you than to disagree, right? It's not kissing up to people, it's being a nice person.

Mod love??? Like krissy said, there is a difference between 'sucking up to mods' and being damn respectful. Mods are why this server is so successful. Without them...well you've seen how people act when mods are offline! People spamming, stealing, etc. So of course, you should be respectful to them. Maybe you don't appreciate their work, but that's your own fault.

Mod try-hards? Again, there's a difference between trying to be a mod, and being helpful. I'm not going to say there are NO 'mod-tryhards', but from what I've seen people who are trying to help are doing it because they are nice people who have knowledge about the server, and often, can be more helpful than actual mods, especially if you're a new player.

Pay to win. You complained that donors were richer than greenies........
Like, that's the point of it??
Basically, donors are the reason skyblock is a success. Because people put forward their money to keep the server growing. And yes, donors should most likely be rewarded for that. Greenies are people who haven't donated, and so they're not 'rewarded' as such, like donors/skygods are.
Also, you're complaining that people are donating when they could be feeding children in Africa?
I admit, I would never pay $400 for a minecraft server. Not because I don't want to be a skygod, because if I had $400, there's a lot of things I would rather buy. However, it is people's own choice what they want to spend their own money on, and if you have a problem with that, then YOU'RE the problem, not them!

Hopefully, you can reconsider what you said.
