when i came back from a long vacation i saw in chat that mobs have been merged. what does this mean? sorry if lots of people have posted it or its really obvious plz just give me a short explanation.

 

Mobs merge = When a Mob spawns via Spawners it will be merged to other one that has already been spawned.
Example:
There is 1 Sheep spawned already
Spawner spawns another one.
They merge and there is 2 Sheep merged it one. If that makes sense

 

oh ok so the sheep would has double health and damage but double wool and lamb?

 

No so when they merged and you try to kill them when you kill one of them the other will live and you could kill it to0.
Note: They may merge up to 50 I think

They don't have a limit I believe, I've seen a 11k sheep.

Yes.

 

Not exactly, it doesn't spawn on its place it is already there. On the sheep it would say 2 Sheep. When you kill one of them the other one will not me damaged and will stay at the place where the last sheep died. When 1 Sheep is left it wouldn't say anything above it.

 

I wish they weren't merged, tbh.

How they are merged

1 sheep dies.... it dies but gives birth. Its birth is followed by many other births
