I don't think this is needed because if you dislike a post, you can tell them that you dislike it. If there is a rude post, you can report it and get it removed.

Well there are developers that make plugins for Xenforo, so this might be possible. But either way it's pointless

 

I don't like the idea in general, it is not needed, and why should members of the forums be able to dislike your status? It is your status, your way of tell people what's going on, how you feel, or just something you want to let people know about without making an a whole new thread about it. Those are the reasons why I do not support this suggestion.

Imo they should stay the way they are, feels like a different medium than standard forum posts.

That's what flaming is for, just gotta do it right so you don't get in trouble.

 

No support, if you don't like the status, ignore it and move on. Some servers try to remove as many negative ratings as possible, in order to promote positivity in their community... There's enough negativity here as it is, we don't need more.

If the status is posted on your wall, and you don't like it, you always have the option to delete it.

On another note, this isn't Facebook, we don't need multiple ratings for statuses.

I can see where people are coming from when they say if you don't like it just ignore it but you could also just ignore it if you like it as well. This is kind of like the thread where it was suggested that the rude ratings should be added to applications and such since there is a friendly rating. I don't really think any ratings are necessary on forum posts but if they are keeping likes why not add dislikes? But then again more rate abuse and such.

Never heard of Xenforo add-one or template editing? k.
If the feature was hard coded (probably) it might be quite difficult to add, but not impossible.
