So 2 hours ago, I got scammed. I lost my diamond (for me, it's valuable, but for donors, probably not, but for me it is) and I was outrageous and upset about it for 10 minutes for something that I want to try to do some trading but instead get absolutely nothing and getting anger instead. Thankfully, a donor named Anna kindly gave a diamond to me, and I felt grateful about it.

Let's jump into my question, how do you safely trade with someone without getting scammed or losing the stuff and getting nothing? Any answers to this? Because sometimes I asked myself whether or not that if I should trust them every time I am trading stuff. Any answers can help.
    Thanks :D

If a moderators on have them witness or do the trade for you, other than that you have to remain cautious when trading.

That's the thing, how can you trade when you're not so sure enough anther or not to trust them? I am a really careful person, and I always say "drop the items plz first and I swear on my life I will give my items to you." But when they say no, that's when I am unsure and at the same time, I want to get the items.

    1) Record the trade

    2) Ask a mod to watch the trade (and wait for them to tell you to go, don't throw it out there :p)

    3) Get a full mod + to do an inventory swap trade

    4) Take screenshots of the following:
    -Trade deal (from both people)
-Trade happening (you trowing the items)
-The person leaving / end results
Make sure you get their ign in the screenshots!

(I recommend recording using bandicam :p)

If a full moderator or a super moderator is online we can edit each player's inventory. This way you don't have to drop the items, and we can see if each player has the item they agreed to trade.
Another way, but more risky, is to create a chest and use that to trade. Granted, you would have to trust the other player and they could greif, but we will have logs to refund you and punish the player.

Plus, if I do have footage of the trade happening, where do I send it?

Do you have a screenshot of the player agreeing to the trade and a video of the trade?

Personally, I go with the rule, "You go first or we get a mod." With this, it's nearly impossible to get scammed, espically with Fmod and up, since they can do an inv trade.

You should record the trade or have a mod watch it. You could also just make a tradeshop if possible.
