its a problem on multiple levels, rules should already be in place or be enforced for things like this.
also it is a legal problem as some stated.

/ignore should be used, thats obvious.
and the person should also be punished for their actions.
why encourage this type of behavior?

REMINDER. this is a pg server, this type of behavior shouldnt even be an issue.

    I will Support this.

But in my opinion, you shouldn't take words to heart. As someone else said this is the internet, anything can be said and done. There are things a lot worst than death threats, although as others have stated it can be considered a crime in some countries. So really, just grow up. If someone tells you they will kill you or something, just /ignore them. If they actually bothered searching for you over something small that could happen on skyblock, they will be punished with jail or depending on where they are from, their life. Just ignore it and move on.

This is not a matter of whether someone is too sensitive or whether /ignore is applicable. This is a matter of people's mental health and safety AS WELL AS a legal matter. At no point in time should anybody on this server feel unsafe because of the actions of others. Those of you who do not take this seriously obviously aren't and have not been personally affected by suicide but it is an extremely sensitive topic to a lot of people.

First of all, if someone tells someone else to kill themselves and they follow through with it, that person can actually be charged with negligent homicide (This depends largely on the state/country). And secondly, it sometimes takes VERY LITTLE to trigger a suicidal person into committing. It is not funny and it is not cute. Telling someone to kill themselves can have very major repercussions on the person it was said to as well as the person that said it. /ignore can't fix that.

I think it's very negligent of any mod/admin/user/whatever to ignore something like this. It's sick honestly.

By the way, jokingly telling someone like a friend "omg im gonna kill u" is fine. But legitimate threats, and egging someone on to take their own life is really not okay. Mods definitely need to do something about this if it's visible or being reported by another user. It's not an issue to take lightly.

In many states you can be charged with involuntary manslaughter or negligent homicide. Not sure about international laws but I'm sure it holds in quite a few countries.

Doxing and DDOSing is also highly illegal all over the U.S. And how often do these cases go to court? Exactly...

Not to mention this staff team has let cases like doxing and ddosing go multiple times and many death threats reports with a simple warning. Therefore that point is completely irrelevant.

Really wondering why this hasn't been closed/deleted yet. Its literally just complaining about how the rules aren't enforced 157.36% of the time on this issue.
I might as well make a thread doing the same thing about scamming since its way more of an issue than this, but I won't because I'm not an idiot and realize that while its not 100% secured its still a rule in place where action is still taken.

I'm just worried on what the next generation is going to be like with stuff like this and most people who do it are only children.

This suggestion was over a year ago, and since then we now have rules in place that strictly prohibit things like this.

Too many people say this too often. It's like they just say, thinking it has no meaning. They don't realise the damage it can cause to someone, both mentally and physically. I think more servere punishments need to be introduced on this server to prevent things like this happening.

I'm going to lock as this has been implemented a while ago. Staff are trained to have no toleration for death wishes and death threats. The rules state that either can result in an automatic month ban, as it isn't tolerated. You can see that on the official rules.
Thank you for the suggestion, sincerely. :)
