So, for the last few days, I haven't been able to play Minecraft for more than about 30 minutes before my computer fan goes crazy and my computer heats up to almost 200 degrees. It honestly sounds like my computer is about to explode. I then have to turn off my computer and let it cool down for about 10 minutes before turning it on again. Any ideas on how to fix this?

Pop that sucker open and see whats up with the fan. If it sounds like its going to explode, something must be hitting the blades (like a cable) or preventing it from turning smoothly.
Give it a good cleaning while you're at it and get all the dust I'm sure is in there out. You could use an air-duster or a gentle-enough paint brush with no metal on it and clean around the CPU fan/any heavily dusty areas. I'd avoid the power supply just because it isn't as much of a concern as far as dust and could be rather dangerous putting anything in there.

Your fan is probably acting up. Go ahead and check it.

The exact same thing happened to me. What PC do you have.

I'm sure it has nothing to do with the computer in particular, things like this just happen over time when dust accumulates or when cables are loose and the computer is moved. If you still have this issue, consider opening it and laying it on its side opening-up and turning it on to see what, if anything, is interacting with the CPU fan.

Some processors also run hot. But it seems more like you have yourself a fan issue so as said above, clean out the dust using air duster. If you are not comfortable opening up your pc, get someone who knows what they are doing to help.
If it's a laptop you may need some help opening it up, I don't recommend home repairs for inexperienced people

It seems to have stopped on its own. I can play for more than 30 minutes now and my fan sounds normal.
