you have always been, and will always be, my idol. My greatest aspiration in life is to become just like you. Anyway, the most I've ever been scammed for is about $50 in cs:go, managed to trade those $50 back pretty quickly anyway so it's all gucci.
I used to play on this prison server, I worked tirelessly all the way up to free and even beyond that to buy my own big plot. I bought a few small ones for around $30k, but this particular one I wanted was $250k. It took so long to get the money and to even find someone willing to sell since there were so few. I finally find this guy who was actually really good friends with one of the wardens and he said he'd sell it to me. I transferred him the money and he said he'd talk to his best friend warden about getting the plot transferred to me. The next day, I have no access, so I messaged him and he said "Yeah, yeah, it's coming, be patient." This happens a few more times until about a week passes and the guy finally gets so fed up he says, "Dude, stop messaging me. I scammed you. You're not getting the plot, don't you get it?" The first thing I did was screenshot it all and report it to the best friend warden. All he says is, "Wow, you really scammed him?" And the scammed goes, "Yeah, it's not that much to me anyway." (Being a warden's friend and a donor meant he had a lot of money.) The warden says, "Man, you're really a d***." ... and the conversation ends. No compensation, no transfer of the plot, no ban. I flipped out, quit the server, and then jumped around a bit for a few days until I ended up here! A few years later, I actually went back and thanked the guy, and he even offered to give me back my money, but I just said I'd moved on and never went back.
