So I've been making a few songs for awhile, but never put really any editing into them. I never had a software I could use aside of a drumpad to make music, however I got my hands on a nice music making program as well as editing and producing software. I would love to know your guys' opinions on my first (technically) produced song. My Journey by K1ng Hunt3r | Free Listening on SoundCloud
I like the beat, I like the bars, and about half of the time I like the whole thing, there are just certain times where I can't exactly pinpoint it but something is off. But overall it's really good for a first real try.
0:38 wasn't a fan of the cutting here, was overdone a little imo. 2:27 wasn't a good idea, made me stop and have to check if I had something else playing in the background. Not even sure of the point in it. Everything from the falloff I wasn't feeling, the beginning was good. The transition felt like it was going back into it, but then suddenly changed to something else? And then picked up at the end the way I was expecting. You definitely know what you're doing and just need to keep improving on it, went in not knowing what to expect whether it be a bad amateur FL studio beat, ripped lyrics, or just zero flow, but was pleasantly surprised.
It wasn't bad at all. Maybe the melody was a bit meh, but still overall good. The only part I didn't like was like 2:40-3:15. I didn't feel like it had a need and was just a bit out of place. Still really good
30s - 1m is weak. 1:20 to like 2m sounds like something from a failed alien TV show. 2:35 to 3:15 is cancer and needs to be cut. You ruined your flow. 3:20 to the end is actually decent.
I really like what you've done here. I'm not a big fan of rap music but this is pretty good You should cut 2:33 to 3:15 though, it doesn't fit in at all.
^this Idk its just so f***ing random and you could work on your flow a bit. Put more emphasis on the bars you want heard which should be quoteables.
