No support. I think it'll just open gates for people to get flooded with messages asking for the item as people tend to do. It's like how if you win the lottery, in some places you can choose the remain anonymous so you don't get robbed or get a million letters asking for some of the money, you know? It might just make people salty and the person who gets a rare item might not want people to know about it.
Understandable. But lets look at it this way, when someone gets something good, and in this case its great since its a very very low chance to get that certain item, players might want everyone to know about it or at least get credit for being able to get that item. If a player randomly said in chat "Yay I got a beacon from the rare crate" most won't believe them and the player probably wanted everyone to know. It's not about what happens after, its what happens when the player does get that specific rare item.
No I see where you're coming from! I just think if someone didn't want people to know it'd cause more problems than if someone wanted them to. I wish you could easily implement an option that asked the player if they WANTED to broadcast it.
No support: Not everyone wants what items/rares they have to be known. Plus, if they get something and it broadcasts it, they would be bombarded with people asking to buy it, and most people don't like getting spammed.
