All of us are human and make mistakes, and sometimes our mistakes are faults in our trust towards other people. Have you ever been scammed in any game or in real life, if so what is the worst scam you have experienced? Mine was in Runescape a long time ago, I had just got a beret from doing a quest or something and I wanted to sell it because it was worth quite a bit of money in-game. So I advertised selling it and finally found a buyer who was willing to pay more than I asked for, but he said he had to get the money from his friend who was on an island. I agreed to follow him there and started to get a little suspicious, I was sort of a lower level at the time. Anyway, as we were running through the jungle on the island he dragged me through a hostile tribe in the jungle which threw poison darts at you. The scammer and I were poisoned but the scammer drank the antidote and healed up so he was ok. I was slowly dying from poison with no means to escape since we were in the middle of the jungle. The scammer offered the antidote to the poison for the beret, or I could just die with all of the stuff I had on me and he would take all of it. Before I died, I found someone nearby whom I asked to hold my stuff so the scammer wouldn't get it. But of course he was working with the scammer and got all of my stuff anyway. This is when I learned to not trust strangers who say they will give more than you are asking for lol. Anyway just a fun story I thought I would share, let me know the worst you've been scammed.
i told myself i'd watch one more episode before i sleep but my sleep got scammed because i watched 6 more.
last year someone told me they'd fix my computer if I payed $100 upfront, but did nothing to it. I luckily got my computer back, though, lol.
Being the old gullible lady I am I clicked on a scam link that took my social security info. The docotor said I only have a year left anyway tho
Ages ago we were renovating our house then this builder offers to renovate it for us, so we took the offer. The builder asked for $700 to buy the materials, so of course we gave the money over. Next thing you know someone comes knocking on our door asking us if we hired that particular builder. We said yes and that's when they said that he was a scammer. Rip our $700.
$50? I've been scammed about this much a couple times. Once from Steam (back when I had no idea about the trickery with csgolounge scammers and item qualities) and crappy ebook which was bogus. Live and learn so it'll never happen again.
one guy wanted like 69 diamonds for a spawner. I'm serious. i offered 4. he scammed in front of me & a mod.
Um I told my dad I would trade him a gourmet chocolate bar for 2 bucks and he game me a dollar and 75 cents :[
When I was a lot younger, I was playing RuneScape and had no idea that people could steal your stuff. Anyway, one of my friends gave me 5k (it was a lot at the time, okay) and I slowly built that up and purchased a full set of rune armour, a full damn set! I was so excited that I had such good armour and not even 20 mins of buying it, someone said they could trim it. I was like wow! and handed it over, expecting a much, much rarer set back. THEY LEFT ! Never one to be defeated, I wrote down their name and memorized it. Three years later, I was maxed and I sent them a message. I didn't expect them to reply, but they did and I learned that they were quite wealthy. I offered to stake them for their party hat. They expected a duel where you couldn't move. HA I switched off locked movement and they never noticed and then I proceeded to ice barrage them across the arena, laughing all the way to the bank. I took their party hats and smiled. They messaged me asking for them back and I simply said, "f*** you, you stole my Rune armour set." When they started to say they were crying I simply laughed. I asked them that if they wanted them back, they'd have to stake me again. I left that day with 3 party hats and 1.1b. (this was in like 2011 when the trade limit was finally removed) Party hats were worth like $1,200 each. Max cash was about the same.
I lost 150 diamonds to a beacon scam, but eventually got it back. On org I lost 50k to a Santa head and never got the same 50k back
I bought shares from what turned out to be the (media-called) "Nigerian Connection" for about $ 8.000 ($ was very cheap at that time). They came with BaFin licence and everything. I got genuine looking shareholder certificates and everything. They called themselves Barlow & Ramsey, later Davies Mayr Group, and got a (presumabely fake) place of Business in Hong Kong. I should have stopped when they sent me bank Details from the Philipines... I was about 19 year old and sooo gullible. The most incredible was the amount of scam attempts that followed. Even a fake detective pretending to investigate for victims like me and who needed an advancement of 400$ to resume his investigations. He couldn't tell where he got my details from.
No more childish bickering. Skyblock is not a daycare centre mods are not your babysitters. Also I have not been scammed.
