I would like to know if some of you actually use diamonds for crafting and what do you craft?

In particular, I have seen people use diamond axes, which I believe can only be crafted on this server (whereas picks are perks). Is it really worth it? Particularly as a non donor. I would have it Godded by someone, but doesn't it have to be repaired quite often?

 

It's durability is quite long. But since I'm a donor100 I wouldn't really die unless my /God is off. Ofc, I'd say it's worth it but if you die...

 

Personally I think a diamond axe is worth the diamonds; however, that's because I chop tall spruce trees using fly. If I were a non donor, I would use a godded iron axe or buy a diamond axe off someone else for less than 3 diamond.

 

People selling diamond axes for less? How's that since they can only be crafted?

 

I'd say it's worth it, since a DC of logs can get you to 3 Dias already

Depends. You could make a big grass plain and make equal intervals between each tree (about 3).
Approx. bones are 2k per 3 grass so a lot of bone meal for only 3 grass.
And a 3 step repeating process..
1. place (sapling)
2. fertilize (bone meal on sapling)
3. collect wood (hack down the tree)

yes, this process would take time like a lot of long term investments do, but in the end I can guarantee you a result you will DEFINITELY be happy with.
I call my 3-step process, PFC!

 

There's no need in having /fly for that. I cut such trees using /jump (available for donor10+) or just organizing spiral staircase from that tree.
And of course, investment of 3 dias to dia axe is worth of time that you could spend cutting trees instead of finding who will /repair.

I'd say a diamond axe would be worth it but if you want a pickaxe most donor50s and up will give them to you for free.

 

I don't use any diamond items. But having a diamond pick by your side can help you when you wish to destroy a spawner or beacon. I use iron tools since iron is easy to get and I drop my tools all the time.

But it you're looking for speed, gold tools are the fastest. They do break fast, but if you have /repair or a friendly Donor50 (or higher) that will repair your items for you, it's no problem.

 

I would personally use the diamonds if i was a non-donor to get a donor to buy the rank for me.The conversion rate i usually do is 1 diamond = $1USD

If you have /repair golden tools are much better (they are faster than diamond).
