I was thinking of becoming a donor but I dont know what I get out of it? Do you think it is worth it to become a donor?

 

I don't remember what level of donor gets what anymore, but I'm a 100 donor and I can attest that the fly function is definitely worth it, and having repair and enchant commands are super helpful if you build, or if you want to help others. (Also the kit is chill)

Donor100+ are best but any is an improvement on default.

 

Get Donor50. That is the best items you can get for your price (if you are on a budget). Of course you can upgrade, and Donor100 is still good, but you get more for your buck at donor50.
Skygod actually gets less items then Donor100, although it gets more items. But "Donor400" (which is a special donor rank) is godlike compared to Skygod. I would not reccomend Donor10 since you only get some cobble. Donor25 is OK

So the two best donor ranks you can get are:
1. Donor400
2. Donor50
3 ...

 

In my opinion, I'd say you should get Donor50. It has a pretty good kit that includes: 10 Sand, 10 Grass, 12 Iron Ingots, 1 Diamond Pickaxe, and 256 Cobblestone every other day. But it is your choice, I'm just stating my opinion.

Hah. I spend 100$ on this server and now I left. It feels bad...
I wouldn't really recommend spending money on it for the following reasons:

1) If you leave the server you don't get refunds...
2) Suddenly god items become worthless. As a non-donor you really do get a good feeling of being "rich" when you get a couple of god items. You lose that feeling once you find out that you can easily get God items.

If you get anything then get either Donor 100 or Donor 400 in my opinion.

Well, if you are higher up you realize how worthless god items are. Better get yourself some diamonds and get items (the point of skyblock) and not be sad about finding out god items are worthless.

 

Yeah, I got my first ever diamond but I just didn't feel the same way as when I got my first God item.

When I got a diamond: Oh cool! A diamond
When I got a God item: OMGGGG LOOK AT ALL THE ENCHANTS! THIS IS SOOOO OP! I AM LIKE THE GOD OF SKYBLOCK NOW! YASSS!

I guess God items seemed OP was because of all the enchants.
It might be different for you though.

Right now, I really do wish I had the same feeling with God items and never realising that Donor 100+ had /enchant. It made skyblock more exciting

 

I am not a donor yet I got a SC of Grass and almost a stack of diamonds. It is way waaaayyy more gratifying to get there as a non donor. Everyone says on skyblock the perks cannot be "pay to win" yet I see that differently. If I upgrade, then either from a voter coupon or with diamonds I EARNED INGAME.

 

That is a personal and psychological thing. I don't see how that does affect if one should buy Donor or not at all.

 

I was just stating what had happened to me once I got donor. I have asked some friends who are also donor and it happened to them aswell.
Anyways I was just stating my opinion. I just believe that being a donor ruins the excitement of the game, in my opinion.

 

I, myself am a donor100 and it's actually quite worth it.

 

I am currently non donor and I would suggest you to buy donor rank. Best one to put money in is Donor 50. You get a lot of things and also you can color the chat text for Skin Comps exc.
Unfortunately I cannot afford a rank but I won Becky's raffle so I will get Donor 10.
