You do realize you can just click off and not get involved if you are going to be mean and heartless. There is a thing called freedom of speech.

I feel bad for people that get death threats don't get my wrong but it's ridiculous how people sit there and let it happen. Every social media, thus forums, and these servers have an ignore feature. Therefore if you do get them and choose not to do anything then it's simply your own problem.

And I'm aware, I'm using it right now. Thanks :)

and about 20 Comments about the situation

So yeah. Sorry But Mostly everyone supports, It because were not talking about the whole Internet. Where talking about an R Rated Server For KIDS. Like, Yes Ik kys is a joke. But there are more serious, Things being said, Which is why there should Be a structured, Feature. I Know i asked for a rule, but im basically saying actually give a structured time outlet. So Like 12hr Temp ban, For threatning someone. Cause Honestly. If you ignore them They may do it to someone else. :/ And it will just keep happening until someone says something.

Before you start, Like oh they wont ever see you? You Never know they may live close to you? im about 5 minutes away From Cookieh, 20 Minutes away from Kitkattt and More. So Like.. You never know what will Actually happen :/.

I agree with this, coming from a server where we ban a month for death wishes.

hi reposting this because why not.

Yes, death threats are bad and all, but they're already punishable. Death threats fall under the disrespect rule. But you can always /ignore someone, that command was added for a reason. It's the internet, people are going to say anything because hey, they're sitting behind a screen and they can say whatever they want anonymously because they don't have take the responsibility of being known. You're not forced to listen to everything people say on here, you can ignore them and tons of social medias or even games have an ignore function.

Technically it's already punishable, and if you're actually being effected by this: just /ignore them and report them. It's disrespect and disrespect is against the rules, therefor consequences will already be given.

Just have to put it out there, the grammar and capitalization in which you types makes it difficult to read sometimes.

That aside, I'll get into it.
I was not aware that death threats are at a level of that requires accompaniment of an adult to view.

I was going to ask what your actual goal was in this so I am glad you stated it here. :)
Here is my post from the very beginning of this thread which still holds value here,
you see action is already taken for this, and you responded previously thinking the time was too low (referencing it was probably 1h ban). Personally I don't see that changing anything. 1h - 12h temp ban will still allow the user to come back so I don't see any change here, trust me the 11h difference won't change anything not already changed from the initial ban.
Base point, it is at the moderators discretion as far as the time goes currently, and I think that is a good thing because this offense will vary from person to person, thus punishment level can appropriately vary as well.

Well if you're this paranoid you probably shouldn't be revealing on the internet private information that would link you to a certain location and/or certain figure.

Leave the Teamspeak channel entirely. As in shut down teamspeak, if it's hurting you.

    Block Dew.

Yes I have known people who have been depressed, and gone through it myself. The only difference is that I don't talk about it constantly on the internet to people who don't care because you know what? People KNOW they can get to you after you tell them something like that. If you just don't tell people you have mental problems, then they aren't going to bother trying to hurt you because they know any normal person won't get offended by random strangers comments.

There already is a rule in place, so I honestly don't even see the need for this thread.

I understand, except spouting these threats already violates the disrespect rule.

It's a bannable offence on Mineverse, and honestly, it's such a pain there. It gets to the point where people argue that someone needs to be banned even though they were just joking with their friend and blah blah blah...

It should just be a punishable going off of the disrespect rule. I mean, don't ban someone if they are clearly joking with their friend. But, if it's used in a disrespectful way, the punishment should be dealt accordingly.

    Death threats are bad.

Mods do everything they can already if you just, you know, tell them.

It's the internet, it's been said over a million times here. But you know, it's the Internet.

If it truthfully is something that is getting to you, get off the Internet. I know you feel like you shouldn't get off people of other people but like, if that truly messes up your mind, get off for a while.

California Penal Code Section 422 — California's law on criminal threats — defines “criminal threats” as the crime of threatening to kill or seriously injure someone. The crime is committed when you intentionally place another person in fear of being killed or seriously injured.Feb 27, 2012
