Suggestion - A way to fix the 30min "Ban hammer has spoken" issue.[.NET+.ORG]

    The suggestions we have come up with as staff:
    Change it to a kick rather than a ban, reduce the ban to 5 minutes or add a tempban message.

    kick = Good, no issue (but with kick message)
    5min = eh, cheap alternative to kick. (but with a message)
    tempban message = Last resort? I would not like it.

    all with a message of course. The kick one is the standard "flying is not allowed on this server"
    5 min is less tedious for people who are wrongly banned
    30 min is still too long.
    Remember the days of the two hour bans?

    But yeah best case if fly hack bans are still wanted as a thing, downgrading the time to 5 min is the best solution.

    I Have /fly but I use fly hacks to ban myself, forcing myself into doing HW :> Support anyways because why not :>

    Support, but I'd change the 30m ban to a 5m ban because most of the time they're not actually hacking.

    indeed, there is no flying tempban on org, nocheat does not even allow you to fly without /fly on. and you get "temporarily denied" from joining the server for spamming.

    Support. We should also put "You may be lagging" in the kick/ban message, many players with a 30 minute ban come onto the forums and freak out about them
    "being banned for no reason" without even knowing what happened. This in turn clogs up the appeals page and gives mods extra work to kindly tell these players it was a console ban.
