I am only fluent in English, but I am currently learning French and Spanish. In game name: SpeedyThePikachu Why do you think you should be a mod: This server is very active, and I have seen many things that are illegal in this server. I want to be here for those who need help, or those who need to be taught the right ways. This server is well made, and the rules are good, but loopholes pop up, so I would like to enforce that these rules are followed. I also see a lot of times that people like to spam, and all that can be done usually is say "Please don't spam (Players name)" or something close. It does tend to get annoying since some people intentionally do it. Being a mod would allow me to help put a role that needs filled. When I am on, I barely see mods, so I want to be there to fill a gap I see almost all the time. This would allow me to keep up with reports, and be able to enforce the rules if needed when others can't be there to do so. Multi-Tasking: I am fairly good at multi-tasking and can finish things while being busy. I actually play with a browser next to Minecraft, so I can always just hop to the forums if needed anytime. I also can keep a conversation going between different people in a chat and if I get lost, I will always get back on track. Helpful The definition of helpful is giving or ready to give help. I am always prepared to help any player who needs aid and will go to the farthest extent to get a player something he or she needs. I frequently answer questions for newer players who don’t know the answers to certain things. I will always try to the full extent of my power to make any members stay on Skyblock a fun, enjoyable stay on our server. Active I am an incredibly active player in game and on forums. Whenever I am needed, I will be ready to pounce on a problem and resolve it. If I am not on game, then I will be doing one of two things. Looking at forums and replying to various kinds of threads or I will be on mine chat (to everyone that doesn’t know what mine chat is, it is an iPhone app that allows me to talk on our servers chat but not be in game). I play at least 5 hours a day even on school nights. Dedicated The definition of dedicated is being devoted to a task or purpose; having single-minded loyalty or integrity. I am a dedicated player since the first day joined this server I have been loyal, active, and helpful. Being dedicated is an essential trait that our server needs to have in it’s moderators. If I start a job, I will work and not stop until I get what need’s being done, done. Hard-working I am hard-working. This is another key trait that is substantially necessary for a moderator to be successful at his job. You will need to be willing to put in the hours to get everything you need to have done, done. With this, I will moderate for 5 hours plus a day, and I will continually strive to make our server a better place for everyone. If there are 20 new reports on the report section of our forums, I will along with all my other fellow moderators, and work for hours to make sure that each thread is read and given fair, unbiased judgement and to make sure that I don’t ban someone who doesn’t deserve to be banned or mute someone who did nothing. I will work to make sure that I give my opinion on every single thread in forums sections such as suggestions and moderator applications. Reporter I report players on a daily basis on Skyblock. On the average day I will report up to 10 people. This includes hackers, spammers, scammers and all around bad people who are dragging down the community of Skyblock. Here is my channel where I report players. currently have 5 reports and counting and I hope that one day I will no longer need to report and that I can just temp ban players myself. Calm The definition of calm is not showing or feeling nervousness, anger, or other emotions. Being calm is an essential part of being a good moderator. In intense situations, you will need to have this trait. If you do not, you could end up making a bad mistake and end up ruining the name of the server. You must remain calm and think logically about what you will do when something bad is happening. I fully embody this trait as I always remain calm and free of emotion when someone is either hacking, scamming, or breaking other rules. Or just being disrespectful. Honest The definition of honest is free of deceit and untruthfulness; sincere. You need to be honest not with just others but yourself also. Honesty is the true key trait. When you are judging a report or a ban appeal, you will need to be honest with yourself and no think about things that will affect your decision. If this player that is being reported has been rude to you in the past, you will still need to make sure that you are unbiased and fair towards them so that you do not unfairly ban someone. Responsible The definition of responsible is having an obligation to do something or having control over or care for someone, as part of one's job or role. To be a moderator, you need to be responsible. Some nights you may have to stay up late to get work done such as reading and accepting/denying ban appeals or reports. I will always make sure that I do my fair share of work on the moderator team. Being responsible is not only this but also not reacting to players insults on the game or just simply message them back saying I respect your opinion I will do my best to be better. You can not be irresponsible and mess up the way Skyblock looks to the average player. Moderators are the face of our server so we must act accordingly and make sure we do not damage that image. I believe that I am responsible and ready to take on my part of the staff team. Aware When I am a moderator, I will be aware of everything that is happening on the server and make sure I understand the situation at hand before jumping to any rash decisions/conclusions on what a player has done. I will make sure I am aware of all the information before doing something I will regret. Mature Although I am only 14 years old, I am considered mature among my peers and superiors. In school, I am on my student council that is composed of people that have all the following traits listed above. I try my best never to cuss in game, and I will never cuss. I look down upon people who cuss because it is an immature thing. I will always make sure I am mature in game and on forums so that Skyblock players know how they should act on the server. Now some people may disagree with this because of past messages I have said. Although I am rarely immature. Everyone makes mistakes and to all of you who disagree with me saying I am mature. I would love to meet you in-game so I can prove to you that I am a mature and respectable player. Fast-typer I am a fast typer. When you are a moderator, you can be overwhelmed by 5+ people messaging you at the same time. Luckily I can type 68 words per minute. With this, I can quickly and efficiently manage the influx of messages that will come to me when I am a moderator. Do you have any past experience as a moderator: I have been a mod on a server, and I am getting used to the "when it's bannable" since this server has less made rules. I do know some about being a mod though, and would love to help out on this server c: I know the commands fairly well, and will need to possibly memorize them again in the future, but I remember these. > /tp (Username) : Allows a tp to happen without a tpa request, > /tppos : Allows a tp to whatever XYZ coordinates you put in, > /tp (Username) (Username) : Allows a tp where you put on player to another (Usually used if someone needs to be removed from an island on skyblock, so you tp them to you at spawn or another public warp), > /kick (Username) (Reason) : If a player is not acting accordingly, you can kick them. > /ban (Username) (Reason) : If a player is griefing, looting, or breaking rules with a bannable offence, you can use this. > /Tempban (Username) (Time) (Reason) : If a player is bad enough for a ban, you can also ban them for a certain amount of time. Also used accordingly to severity to the servers bannable rules. > /Unban (Players name) : Unbans a player who was previously banned. > /mute (Username) (Time) : If a player spams even after warnings, or kicks if you don't use chat to warn, you can mute them for a bit. (Side note, if you don't see me ever helping in chat, I usually message them because I wouldn't be noticed in normal chat usually if I couldn't message a player) How long can you be active on the server every day? I can be active every day for a minimum of 4 hours but here is a more detailed list of exactly what I can do approximately each day. In game Monday - 3 to 6 hours Tuesday - 4 to 7 hours Wednesday - 5 to 7 hours Thursday - 2 to 4 hours Friday - 6 to 9 hours Saturday - 5 to 10 hours Sunday - 4 to 7 hours Forums (I have two computers, so I can be actively looking at both) Monday - 3 to 6 hours Tuesday - 4 to 7 hours Wednesday - 4 to 6 hours Thursday - 2 to 4 hours Friday - 6 to 10 hours Saturday - 2 to 4 hours Sunday - 4 to 9 hours Minechat for all days 15 minutes to 1 hour Now remember of course there will be exceptions to this list, I could play longer or shorter. No support. Our timezones are quite close yet I do not see you in-game, or Forums. You are missing some questions & answers. If you didn't know, they updated the Format and Requirements. In your application tell us when you will be online, not just the amount of hours. There are some pretty big gaps at the top, fix that. Once I see a change, my support might boost up. Good luck.
