Is it like illegal now? Because I keep getting targeted on forums and in game for it. I get it can be annoying, but is it illegal now?
Its not illegal but its annoying if fifty time you reply to questions in-chat or if moderators are on and not busy. Mini-modding is fine but its counter-productive if you dont use pms to help people because it causes spam.
Mini modding is legal. In fact it can be handy when we have people answering questions and telling people not to illegal trade. It can get annoying when people start trying to tell others not to spam or swear- that usually causes the disputes- just report it if a mods not on. One of the ways people get mod is their consistant help in the chat which may involve mini modding. I used to get crap for mini-modding but look at me now. The general rule is if a mod is on and not afk, you don't have to tell people not to rule break. Just answer general questions and offer help.
Generally speaking if you are consistently show that you know the rules and are dedicated people start to notice. The purpose of mini modding should be to help the community with out a mod tag.
Pretty much how I feel but when you said recognized for it I was curious as to if cyp payed attention.
you know that trick people do when Cyp is on the mini mod so much to impress? Because of that one time Cyp said he doesnt mind mini modding xD
I've been doing it for about a year now (it's been on & off until now) and I've never been called out for it ???
Tell them to-- wait don't do that, just ignore them, they are just mini trolls waiting to eat you! It's perfectly fine, people like to pick on others, it's life.
Consistently mini modding is annoying especially when it's not needed. I feel that answering questions is obviously fine but when there is a mod online and not afk and you're telling people not to swear etc, that's when it's not really needed
Ignore the haters, I mini mod sometimes when mod's are either offline or busy. But here's a tip, don't do all your minimodding in chat, use pm Too
It's not illegal, though if there are mods on it's not really necessary. Just don't do it in chat if it's possible, it gets quite annoying.
No such thing as minimodding. Mini"modding" implies the person doing it has a chance of becoming an actual staff member, which they don't. Even with this servers horrendous application and introduction process. There's a difference between minimodding and helping out. People who minimod intentionally do it in an overly friendly way in an attempt to get staff, and it's the only thing they do. They just sit around and wait for people to ask questions, even when actual staff are on. Players that help out are just minding their own business doing whatever. If they know an answer to a question they'll most likely message the person (since I know Skyblock has a very busy chat, on net at least). They do it naturally.
