This has not happened to me before, but it almost did. Let's say....I wanted to trade 1 stack of bricks for 1 grass block. What if the person buying the bricks gives me grass from bonemealing on the ground. Have you ever seen someone be specific about saying "grass block" in a trade? I haven't. So can people legally do this if someone agrees to "grass" but doesn't say "grass block" in a trade, or is it scamming? I'm just asking for opinions on this.
Minecraft is about blocks and 98% of the blocks are actually blocks (not entities such as boats) so 98% of the time its not a scam.
Ummm.... then it might be a scam because there are 3 blocks that have grass in them (grass, tall grass, grass block) so 33.3' of the time its not a scam mathematically but 99.9' of the time on the server people are referring to blocks because its the main currency. So in my opinion, no scam.
It's common sense that you would be talking about grass blocks, so I'd call it scamming if the other person doesn't give the items back.
It's common sense. When people ask for grass, they mean grass blocks. If they want bonemealed grass, they'll say they want bonemealed grass.
It's happend before. To avoid being manipulated I would say when trading grass "What kind of grass"? If he saids "Grass block" and it's tall grass then obviously report him for scamming if you have proper proof. If he saids "No it's another kind" then kindly back out of the trade and look for another seller. Communication and Screenshots are the key to a good and positive trade.
^ Pretty much that. And if the person is hard to work out what kind it is, just don't trade with them.
Way, ive seen people trying to fake auction grass blocks by auctioning grass alone and it says tall grass
Isn't that called false advertising? I believe that's what it is--and it's illegal. By saying grass in chat, the implication is grass blocks. If you are actually selling tall grass, then you have to specify it as "tall grass," thus clearing up any confusion.
Yeah, it wouldn't be legal as on skyblock, grass is the currency. All you'd have to do is request for your item back as you were talking about grass blocks.
