On the forums, I've been banned once for a few days for spamming likes to two members.

I think I should be unbanned because I don't think I broke any rules. The only rule that would remotely make sense is number 9 (Do not post illegal and/ or derogatory material. This includes overly sexual content (pornography especially), malware, torrents, etc.). In my opinion the photo was not 'overly sexual' in any way. It did not show anything inappropriate, nor was intended to be looked at as pornographic. The photo may have originally been intended to be sexual, but I revised it so it did not show what was deemed as inappropriate.
When Lemonade originally told me to change my photo, I was under the impression that the only thing wrong with the photo was the small amount of nipple the girl was showing, so I edited the photo to cover it. I then asked if it was alright. When I came back to check if he had replied, I was banned. It shows there is a message, but I cannot view it as I am banned. Assuming the answer was still to change it, I feel I should have been given time to respond to the message before being banned.

The reason I banned you so quickly is to prevent anybody else from seeing the picture. You were a moderator once, yes? I would have expected to know better.

 

My profile picture had been that for weeks, but it's just now being accounted for? Surely other staff members have seen it between that span, yet none have said anything. I still fail to see how the photo was overly sexual/pornographic in any way.

 

It does say in the rules that it is only for overly sexual content, but keep in mind that this place is not only for teens and adults. What would you like to happen instead?

 

Well I would like an unban, but seeing as that's unlikely, a shorter ban would be nice. I'm still unsure what about the image was ban-worthy to begin with.

 

Both sides of the image showed the parts that were covered up.

 

Only the left side slightly showed her nipple. The other side was completely covered.

 

And why exactly did you make that your profile picture?

 

I liked the photo. It's the same reason most people have the photo they have.

 

And were you even partially aware that it wasn't allowed?

 

When I first changed it to the one without the revision I was slightly hesitant, but after not being asked to change it for a few weeks I assumed it was alright.

 

I was unaware you had it for several weeks. Due to my inactivity, I didn't see it. I'm surprised no one else that saw it didn't think it was inappropriate. Given that this is your first major ban like this, I will take it down to three days. I do not want to see you do anything else to this extreme or even appealing.
