Could you guys please fix hoppers I don't know what the issue is with them but it is so annoying especially if you want to make a redstone creation or just a simple Hopper in Furnace to cook stuff ect ect ect...
This Would be amazing to add and I hope it's not to much to ask for.

 

They are disabled due to duplication glitches, however I am pretty sure 1.9 fixed that glitch

 

If this server updates to 1.9, I'm pretty sure hoppers will be enabled . Until then, no hoppers. Sorry bud

No it hasn't, you can play it on 1.9, but it is not updated to 1.9. I think crew is waiting on Spigot

 

Bungee cord is not the server version, Spigot is. Bungee cord is the playable versions.

 

With all the lag on the Server, I dare them to enable hoppers again. I really really doubt it. Only if they are totally out of mind. See yourself braking down / building up something for 10 minutes to see it suddenly undone in a blink of an eye because of lag. I'd prefer to do without hoppers, honestly.

 

It'd be easy to fix, Hoecobo made two threads a while back. I think it got noticed but nothing happened.

It might've. There was a suggestion on it (surprise surprise) and I stated there was a thread on how to fix it, Cyp actually replied to me asking what the thread was, and about two or three people linked your thread.

I'd like to see hoppers added back.

 

hoppers are disabled because people would create auto-farms and even when your offline the hopper would be collecting crops so in like 2 days you have a full DC of cacti. they would ruin the economy. i dont understand what else you need hoppers for other that farming. if you want it for skin comps plz check my /pay suggestion where someone posted an epic way to receive payments. all it requires is 2 doors a pressure plate and a trade shop. just go here

No... they are disabled because of duping; and there are ways to fix it. Quit advertising your suggestion in other threads.

i wasn't advertizing that was a closed suggestion i'm just saying that this one guy posted a really good idea. i don't even work on that thread because i found a better solution. stop accusing people of not being professional and advertizing. fight and hoecobo need a chill pill.

Perhaps I'm wrong, but I thought Hoppers were disabled because people would use them to steal out other players stuff a while back. Just put a hopper under a chest, private or not, and take all there items, easy. But that was before the whole trust system was implemented. I.e a Looong time ago. Now that you have to be trusted to modify/ place blocks on someones island, I don't see that being an issue.

I do see a problem with auto-farming though. You can still technically auto-farm without hoppers, but its much more limited and you are basically limited to 1 farm. Not to mention that the player has to be on to "autofarm". Having like 5 farms going at once, All the time, even when the player isn't on, sounds gamebreaking, not to mention if enough players did it I could see it lagging the server, since they would be always on.

It's such a shame too, I would love to see them come back. But these are some issues I dont think can be addressed without limiting hoppers functions a lot. Easiest thing to do is to not allow them.

 

Autofarms don't work if the chunk is not loaded, hence if there is no one near. So they only work offline if someone else in on your Island (or if you are on minechat). But anyhow, the lag created by all working auto-farms on loaded chunks will by annoying enough IMHO.
