Will this journey be described in rhyme and silly imagery? I would love that more than a fat kid loves ice cream. I've always enjoyed Mr. Geisel's writing and it seems like you are a fan as well.

You had me at "formally", sir. Not many people get dressed up and take the game that seriously. Or perhaps they do...? There's a community for everything I suppose. Did you mean to say "formerly"?

Welcome back, sir. Swap that "expectantly was" for "was eventually" -- your word choice is amusing me but that probably wasn't what you meant to say.

This is an interesting amount of back story on a job application, Mr. Seuss. What was your goal here? Were you looking for sympathy or trying to excuse bad behavior in the past? If you are trying to be hired then you should probably showcase things that are good about you while avoiding topics that make you look bad. Read your paragraph again and rewrite it to something like "I have experience as a Moderator here in the past and quite a lot of play time. I had to quit for a while but now I am back as a wiser, more mature person."

Or just ignore me, sir. These reviews are pretty bad. Moving on.

Nice to meet you, Mr. Seuss. Your name makes me want to write "Cat In The Hat" puns until this review explodes.

You are giving out too much personal information, sir. Your exact date of birth isn't necessary on an application for an imaginary job position. Please remove this.

+1 for listing a correct timezone, nicely done. A lot of people jump directly into a wood chipper right about here on their applications.

+1 for sticking to your country, sir. ManC or ManU? If you say "Bolton" I will find your island and light it on fire.

    English... or "British"? •amused•

+1 for knowing French well enough to have a conversation. Have you thought about offering to translate the server rules into French? That would be helpful.

    Cell phone?

    Gimme gimme.

This is my favo(u)rite part of every application. Let me make waffles for my ungrateful offspring, then sit down to really give this attention.

...Back. Do not ever try to "pre-syrup" the waffle mix before cooking it. Does not turn out well.

    Let's do this.

+1, excellent start. Add something about why you feel activity is important to a Moderator and this will be perfect.

    Triggered.

Do not disqualify yourself in your own qualification. "Responsibility: People may not know me as responsible" made me Google if I could legally mail bleach to England.

Reword this, Mr. Seuss. It isn't necessary to mention your demotion in a paragraph about responsibility. Try something like, "I have spent the last two years learning a lot about life and maturity. I've gained experience working with others and handling everything life can throw at me".

Even if you don't want to rewrite then at least take out the negative qualities. Not helping.

Extremely well said, +1 to you. You have a topic sentence, supporting statement and why this quality matters to the job. This is a minimum for a good qualification; please write all of your paragraphs to at least this level.

+1 again -- I am really feeling optimistic now. You had a bit of a rocky start but things are really turning around.

    That was interesting.

That was more random than blindfolded dart throwing.

You had me interested with the opening line about taking classes to understand arguments better. Then you listed "Geography" and I made the greatest WTF face since I walked out of the Batman vs. Superman movie.

The only opposing sides in Geography are between two buttes. That joke was awwwwwwwful. Back on track: You are detouring through some strange territory on the way towards making a point. I think you are trying to say that you have a lot of experience being objective while listening to arguments. But you are coming at that from a weird angle when you start bringing up History and Geography.

Can you rewrite this slightly? I would recommend some changes but I'm unsure what your point was.

This made me chuckle until I got hiccups. OK, two issues:

"I have a relatively explicit understanding"-- This is the third time your word choice made me side-eye the monitor a little. Relatively explicit? Is that like "almost pregnant"? That was some odd phrasing.

"Explicit understanding of server plugins" ... "vague understanding of commands and plugins". You seem to be contradicting yourself a bit, sir. Which is it?

Not a bad qualification, but this might be better off down in the template question below. Can you move this to "Do you have experience?"

I think the word you are looking for is "Dedicated", sir. Please check your phrasing a bit in the last line, I'm not entirely sure what point you were making: You are highly motivated to sustaining dedication and that would help the server...? Explain?

Hobospeech. Read this out loud to someone and see if they understand it. You get bonus points if you can read the whole line without stopping for breath.

Compared to your other paragraphs this "Caring" portion seems like you just threw it in. If you're going to keep this on your application please flesh it out a bit.

WHEN? It is nice that your hours are unreliable(?) but when can we expect to see you? Mornings? Evenings? Are you the rarely-seen Midnight Moderator that strikes fear into the hearts of spammers?

Please list a schedule or provide times you'll be online. It can only help you.

Three years? But you were banned and quit for two, correct? I'm not a mathmologist but I am pretty sure that means you've been playing for one year, sir.

Honestly even one year is a lot of time on the game so there's probably no need to make changes here.

    Oh My.jpg
    Those details... so much wow...

Explaining your ban history is like throwing blood on Carrie: Everyone involved is going to burn in a fire.

Remove all of this, replace it with "Twice. Once for bridging, second time for misuse of Moderator powers". The people involved in your bans (Mods, server owner) already know the details and don't need a refresher. Everyone else (your readers) is horrified over what you've done and running away like Donald Trump at a Women's Rights protest.

Did you kill them? Not accusing, just curious. Excellent paragraph response, +1 to you.

Remove personal details, especially since your email address includes your name. This level of detail isn't necessary for an online job moderating a game.

You are quite welcome, sir. That was rather interesting to read. It seems like you have a bit of an uphill battle with this application, best of luck to you in the future.
