Dumb 2 Week Evidence Rule

    I really think it's dumb evidence over 2 weeks old is no longer valid.

    Think about it. If I grief a player and am not caught for two weeks, I am no longer able to be banned. And if I am banned, it's considered abuse because of banning with insufficient evidence.

    I don't understand the logic in this rule . - .

    Yeah, I find this rule dumb. It makes it easier for players to get away with breaking rules, if they don't get caught within two weeks.

    Yes but as soon as we ban for something that is "old" we get complaints that "it happened a long time ago"

    i see nothing wrong with the rule. If you want to report someone you use new evidence. Old evidence can be a supplement to a case but not the main evidence that should be used.

    this rule applies to evidence that players give us. If we log a 5 week old grief you can still be punished. If you are not caught by the player within two weeks then you might find youself caught by mods.

    It does not mean you will get away with a crime if not caught in two weeks.

    With this rule implemented, the summer holidays will be hell. Person goes on vacation for 2-3 weeks, in that time someone griefs. Comes back, lost EVERYTHING, but the evidence is outdated. Great!
