I honestly have developed the ability to just not care about people and their lies. 80% of 'girls' on games are really guys. Voice can be disguised with a simple program that is getting eerily accurate overtime and actually sounds feminine. Videos can be faked using ManyCam and folders of mini-vids of girls doing small actions, such as waving, scratching their head, spinning, dancing, smirking, frowning, etc. and nothing looks unlegit as it can be synchronized real-time. Timestamps can be faked in five minutes by even a beginner in Photoshop. Lesson of the day? Anyone can fake their looks.

This doesn't only happen on a block game, or what we know as Minecraft. This happens everywhere on the internet, and it's not that hard to fake an identity on here. There's plenty of reasons why people "catfish", which I'm too lazy to list but you get the gist of it. But, that's the Internet for you. I'll leave this here:
