Hi I have been noticing that mods and skygods get to bend the rules when people report, or accuse them of griefing and such. This is really dumb, considering that they are just people, and since we live in a server that everyone is given the same treatment. They should be treating equally, if not expected more, because they have more experience with these things.
Well there's no evidence so nothing can be done, quit whining. Edit - Thanks for the unreasonable negatives lmao
This is the situation for everyone wondering. He believed that a skygod had griefed him but no logs were shown to prove such a thing. He claimed that the logs were hacked and that skygods get special privileges. We told him specifically the rules and how the logs don't lie and he refused to listen. It's as simple as not accepting the truth.
First off, chill with the caps lol. Second of all, as Km said in global chat, there was no logs to prove things therefore no punishments were given.
Actually nobody griefed me, and secondly, I was inspired by the situation, not blaming mods or anyone for the matter
I mean it's probably obvious the difference in treatment. I'll usually get kicked for something; then Shane or Stel will say the same thing as jokes (sometimes more than once) and are sometimes not punished
Ive banned, kicked and punished many skygods and warned mods when they become too rude or push the boundaries. If I say something questionable I won't go and kick a person for saying the same. But in cases of griefs and other high level crimes the punishments are really around the same for everyone. The reason it may not be is mod opinion, context, repeat offenders and of course severity. Mods are a little different. We have to follow the rules too and a lot of the time the most boundaries that are pushed are chat crimes. Most mods actually kick themselves for chat offenses (if they can). So even though we may not get bans, if reported for a high level offense then we may end up demoted. That is our risk. In short whether you choose to see it or you blind yourself with a hatred for staff, we do strive to punish everyone as fairly as possible. While some things I cannot disclose, there is a reason for most actions we take. That is all
They should be given the same treatment, although they aren't always treated the same, since bias and opinions will always exist
Little note- Alot of the biggest repeat offenders happen to be the high tier donators. That's where the issue lies aswell; it might not be about the severity of their punishments, but they never get permanently banned.
As a Skygod I've been punished many times in my past including a 100 day ban just for being arrogant. Just because you're a donator doesn't mean you're immune to the rules.
Well, for one, they used money to buy the rank. So... do you think Cypriot would like someone who's paid or given money to him more than someone else who has no benefit at all to him? think about it. Second, mods can just look their reports, so staff reports are useless. you can get rid of the "mods" part of your thread already.
