I find that people who exploit loopholes in everything tend to be pretty shallow individuals. The more time, attention and coverage they get the happier they are. What could get more attention than rulebreaking? By pleading special exceptions for everything they ignore the intent of the rules (Don't be a jerk) and focus on semantics ("No grass trade" doesn't say "coarse dirt"!). This is hilariously immature behavior, pandering to it encourages even more participation.

This question confuses me more than a hairdresser at a Rogaine seminar. I really need to ask someone in management what exactly "necessary means" is for "capturing evidence". Every application I have read since the format change has a different answer, is there some sort of common denominator? Are screenshots OK...?

Language barrier here. This is entirely my fault and not your issue, Tom-- I had to read this paragraph multiple times to understand what you were saying. I always have to be careful when writing on non-native English speakers to make sure I get the intent of a paragraph and ignore the awkward phrasing.

I think you are writing about how open and positive you are and how that makes it easy to talk with you on issues. There was a piece on the end about always being upbeat and positive even when you're depressed(?). Good quality, +1.

Normally I would suggest a rewrite. Your paragraph topic is a bit unclear and the examples are... odd. If you would like to send this to me on PM I can suggest some minor edits to help people like me understand what you are trying to say.

Sidenote: You made me pause a second over "6 years of online Minecraft" -- I thought multiplayer/servers for this game came out in 2011? I may be wrong.

I'm not sure how much of this is a language barrier issue, Tom. You have difficulty staying on topic in your writing and you tend to repeat yourself quite a lot. Normally when writing a paragraph you begin with a topic sentence, provide one or two supporting statements and then close with an example or transition.

For example:
Experience - I have a lot of experience with Minecraft servers(topic). Over the last six years I have played on many online servers with a wide variety of players and games(supporting). During this time I have personally seen both the good and the bad sides of the community, from troll arguments to positive conflict resolution(supporting). I believe I can share this experience with the community as a Moderator and help to resolve player complaints(closing).​

Not the best example... but hopefully you understand the point, sir. You can add your own personal flavor or stories wherever you like. Whatever you choose to do please try to keep in mind that every sentence needs to support your topic in some way.

Remove those &'s and put the actual word "and", Tom. These are some pretty long, run-on sentences you are throwing down. Can you put in some full stops to separate ideas?

I have marked some of this section with strike through text, sir. For some reason you went completely off-topic in the middle of your paragraph about "quality" to discuss having fun and laughing. It was awkward for everyone involved, including the duck. Recommend you remove that portion and shorten this up a bit.

I love this paragraph and I thoroughly support my Commander-In-Chief. I have never seen a qualification in a post about "bringing people together" but you seem to be dedicated to this idea, sir. Remove those & & & &s, clear up your sentence structure a bit and this will be excellent. +1

First, +1 for your incredibly detailed schedule Tom. That was exhaustively in-depth, in particular I found your day by day breakdown of your after school activities to be remarkably well documented.

A simple schedule of times will work, sir. You do not need to justify what you are up to outside of the SkyBlock server. I'll condense this for you:

Play schedule:
Monday - Friday: 18:00 - 22:00
Saturday - Sunday: Most of the day starting at 0800.

Experience is the #1 thing that sets candidates apart. This is so important the template specifically asks if you have this quality-- you don't see any questions on the template asking about maturity or problem solving.

Treat this question seriously and list your past experience. What did you do as a Moderator? What was your job? Were you in charge of reimbursing players, did you track down illegal/duplicated items? Give this question a clear answer and highlight your skill set.

It is a YES/NO question, Tom. "I believe I do" is not the correct answer. Fix this please.

I appreciate your support & your tough work spent on my application. I will be taking into consideration everything you have mentioned that needs improvement.

However if you would read the "Language" section then you would clearly see that I stated the following:

This states that I think of English as my mother tongue. I do not believe that there is a language barrier taking place. I most probably just phrased that section without putting much thought to it. Please reconsider saying that there is a language barrier. I'm kind of offended there...(please don't be angry at what I just said. I am just not happy that you feel that my English is not satisfactory)

Neutral- you have a really well written application but your posts on forums seem... Fakely happy. Theres a consistent theme of an extreme level of respect and being proper which I appreciate but I don't completely trust. Ill come back in a week and let you know where I stand.

 

I understand your viewpoint on my behaviour. I assure you that I am being honest with my behaviour no matter what. I tend to give people the respect they deserve. And of course, I am extremely patient when it comes to arguments. I tend to be more calm and approachable to avoid any unnecessary conflicts. Therefore I try to be more positive than negative.
