I don't have a donor rank mostly because I can't afford one. I don't get a lot of respect because of that fact, but mostly on .NET because .ORG is full of some of the most chillest people ever, who could care less about my rank. I tried to invite people to a skin comp a few months ago on .NET and my charge to get in was 1 grass, and I had about 3 people message me "nice try" "scammer". I mean I guess it's because people think that since we don't have a rank, there is nothing to loose if we get banned. Plus it's just a freaking title next to your name, judging someone off of the title next to their name is probably one of the dumbest things you could do on Minecraft.

I'd like to see more respect for rankless people, simply because some of us can't even afford a rank, and we deserve the same respect as everyone else.

Also why do I need to pay for a title to earn respect? Like srs lol?

 

Respect is earned. Donor ranks are irrelevant.

I've told this story on every one of these "Greenie Respect" threads, so I might as well tell it here:

In 2014 I used to be one of, if not the most popular non-donator on the server (ORG). I wasn't just a popular non-donor either, I was one of the most popular players period. I was popular enough that someone who didn't know me, and had no obligation to buy me donor, bought me donor. (Then I had my quitting/downfall.) I come back in 2015, regained popularity/respect, and at this point I'm still a non-donator on NET. Fast forward to 2016, I was given a Donor400 rank. I'm still a notoriously respected player, and I have personally not spent a single cent on this server.

 

They should be reffered as players, not greenie. I see greenie as a degatory term used for unranked players.

 

It is something used in a long period of time, however yes it is indeed disrespectful.

I was a greenie for the 2-3 years that I played, and only became donor recently, so I guess I know what you're talking about.

 

I am a greenie still and when i get on and say 'Hi' no one ever replies or says hi
then a donor gets on or sky god and they don't even have to say hi they all just say hey

I technically am a greenie because I was a greenie before and I play on my alt as well (greenie) and on org I'm a greenie as well.

To be honest I don't think greenies are that badly treated. However as a greenie I don't speak in chat or do trades very often, so that may be a reason. When I do see greenies being badly treated its usually in chat, and not anything else. If I ever had a question, I would message a donor and they'd respond. If they still didn't answer, saying the question in chat still works. We've got minimods and mods that are always there.

Also, I do feel that sometimes greenies aren't taken seriously. They do get respect but they aren't treated as if they were donors, as if they were equal. I haven't experienced this on Net, and definitely not on org, but on Skywars I've felt it.

 

Yes indeed, chatwise it is less common to get a reply to a greenie.

Honestly I've seen enough threads like this and its getting no where.

 

I have generally never ignored greenies, sometimes when a donor and a greenie ask me for help I lean toward the greenie because I know it is a bit for difficult for them since there name color is the same as the other dozen speaking on the server. Honestly Greenies are the foundation of the server. Anyone with a rank had to be a greenie at on point no matter how long as you said.
