I had a cousin up in Fort Mac. He's accounted for though, thankfully didn't lose much cause he was just working in a camp.
Depressing news to hear. So sad what people are going through these days. My heart burns itself to hear this. Hopefully this will be taken care of soon, and that no one is injured during Mother Nature's tantrum.
UPDATE: at 200,000 acres now. Officials are saying due to weather, the fire may no stop for another month unless we're blessed with a lot of rain. Firefighters and water bombers are no help anymore, and are being called back. It's all up to mother nature now.
Fires like these don't just stop burning. It will take a lot of work to stop this wicked fire. There have even been fires in Edmonton today (capital of Alberta) and has killed I think 2 people. Hope that fire was taken care of.
UPDATE: The fire still burns in Fort Mac, but an emergency alert has been released at Fox Creek has there is a wild fire there as well. This is approximately 2 hours driving away from me. No reported deaths. Please pray for the more people losing their homes.
