You are extremely naive and misinformed. The punk rock scene was built and gained popularity in the mid-1970s. Alternative rock became increasingly popular in 1990s, since its start in the underground music scene in 1980. Of course, being an undereducated child I didn't expect much more from you. The only people who actually think any of those bands are true "punk/alt-rock" are very likely trendy "hipster" tumblr users. Especially since all of those bands migrated toward the pop scene in recent years.
laaaame. at least the stuff we listen to have actual instruments. plus, so what if mcr broke up? it's still great, and people still celebrate MCR day. edit: (although i do have to agree with you on the whole punk rock thing, none of them invented anything. nirvana did sorta make grunge popular though, i mean, no one really knew what grunge was before they came out >~>)
You don't have to turn everything into an argument baby cakes. You clearly just restated the first thing you saw on Google.
I always liked Nirvana. Pretty grungy. You realize that I can have prior knowledge without googling? Not everyone is an undereducated f***.
Lol, people who legitimately think that Electronic music sucks just because it doesn't use "real instruments" are pretty dumb. Hopefully you were just being sarcastic. Mind teaching me how to classify Electronic music (if you know how to)? I have no clue how to classify it, but I know that most Electronic music sounds good. Also, chill out on the cussing . Sure it's censored, but this is still Skyblock.
Are you serious? I never said electro sucks. Jesus christ, read properly will you. I love electro, I just prefer MCR, P!atd music.
I mean even though their albums are fairly recent, but whatever. Troye Sivan, Halsey, Panic!, tøp, Melanie Martinez, and The 1975.
I'm assuming you don't understand how this works. PVRIS is a band. Last I checked, drums, bass guitars, guitars, and keyboards are all instruments. Aside from that, I listed Halsey, Kesha and Melanie Martinez. Kesha and PVRIS are both synthpop artists, and suprise! The synthesizer is an "actual instrument." And do you really think bands play on every part of their tracks? Many bands have most of their studio productions electronically made/edited. And in the same way, many solo singers have "actual instruments" backing their vocal tracks along with electronically produced music. (Not including the fact that electronic instruments are so much more than "actual instruments" will ever be.) This thread is asking about artist you would like to release a new album. It is completely unlikely that a broken band who has confirmed that they aren't returning to make a new album. I don't listen to too much electronic music, but I could always try to help.
'would like'. We WOULD LIKE MCR to release an album, even though it won't happen. But it doesn't mean that we can't want them to. Sorry about PVRIS, I didn't know them and just assumed they were similar to Halsey. Same goes for Kesha, I assumed she did Electropop like Melanie since I don't listen to her music. I disagree with the fact electronic instruments are more than actual instruments. It's like photoshop vs plastic surgery, one's digital, one isn't. Sure maybe you can do more with photoshop, but more skill is required to do plastic surgery. Lmao this was probably a horrible example but I cbf thinking of better ones.
From what it sounded like, you were dissing it. Thinking it sucks might have been a stretch, but regardless lemme restate my comment. If that still doesn't sound good, just read ImBasicallyJesus's reply. Awww, thanks anyways.
I agree with this. For example, playing a brass or woodwind instrument require the use of your lungs, lips, and fast fingers. While you can play whatever instrument you want on an electronic instrument, you don't have to physically train for that. Assuming if you're an average healthy human with all of you limbs n' stuff. Regardless, I think they have the same potential. We humans use both at the same time anyways, so why not?
I doubt anyone would know PVRIS, judging how little known of a band it is. I also doubt the fact you don't know what type of music Kesha produces. She has constantly been on the radio from 2009-2014. Of all the artists mentioned, only Melanie Martinez does electropop. Kesha's early albums were synthpop with a rap influence, while her later ones had a rock edge to her usual dance style. Halsey is indie/alternative pop. That is a ridiculous argument simply because electronic instruments are much harder to master than "actual instruments." I play several instruments, but I still have difficulty producing electronic music. Technology can do everything "actual instruments" can, and more.
