Before I quit the server after mob arena was removed, a dia was worth about 75 grass. The price of dias right now kinda surprised me after i started playing this week.
Thank you Myrm for taking the time to continue this interesting conversation. Sorry for getting back to your reply that late. I had cooking duties this week end (guests) So why using only the crème de la crème? I don’t agree to the Supposition that they are the Major resource Producers. This cannot be proven and iron, redstone and such are not the most needed resources. I think in contrary, skygods don’t have to produce that much to get what they Need, as they have a high enough income to rely on others production. I could now say that in fact ou can buy 10 grass for 5$, but since this is probably the worst deal on shop.skyblock, I don’t think any skygod will ever buy this. But it’s there. Yes, you cannot obtain grass much faster. But you can obtain it waayyyy slower. Most of the Players actually do. If you Forget to vote and fail to be online for VP as a non donor, then you actually Need infinite time to obtain a grass. So why do you consider only the Tycoons? It’s like considering only the upper 1% IRL to evaluate anything IRL. Then you’ll suddenly consider that it takes only 1 hour of work to buy a lamborghini murcielago. Would this be correct? Again, shop.skyblock.net, 12 irons = 6,5$. Again, seriously, who would bu besides noobs? But it’s there. However, again, I personally wouldn't price the ingame items with any IRL values, would it be time or money. I cannot however keep on contradicting you without coming up with my own detailed theory on ingame pricing and values. Hoping to find the time soon. It would run itself by using the tradeshop chest logs. How much is buyed for what „Price“ on average each day? It’s quite some programming work but easily doable. However I think the devs have more urgent work to do. And I kinda like this “bronze age economy”, where you never know what price you’ll get and what price you’ll find.
just new account. I used to be stickyrice123 EDIT: btw my name is now WiiTarded, and I prob wont change it again
Inflation is needed as it is nature's answer to unlimited growth. As nothing can grow infinitely, as the valuable doesn't devaluate nominatively, it has to devaluate relatively. This is symptomatic of all modern monetary policies. And found here with the diamonds, that are for now just as useless as a bundle of bills under a mattress.
