Thank you for posting that. Now I will only have to report a thread to get it locked if the question has been answered
Has your question been answered? Do you want this thread locked? Krissy kidding. Seriously though tagging mods is far less efficient. You have to wait for that specific mod to come on to get the thread resolved, and if another mod sees it first it's just a completely useless message. The report tab will allow any mod to see it and come and take care of the situation.
Don't get me wrong, it's ok to mini mod. But there is a certain way to do so that we prefer as we are capable of handling threads and don't need players asking on our behalf all the time and tagging us.
Has this problem been resolved? If it has I'll lock thi- oh wait i haven't been a mod in over two years
I mean there is a line. If people are going around saying they will ban you for breaking this rule then its crossing it. I consider that pretending. What I brought up is mainly people trying to do a mods job while not actually providing any help. I classify that more mini-mod.
This practise comes under post and rates farming. If your post in the help section does not relate to the main topic it can be removed under that rule. Therefore tagging mods and asking if the thread is solved is not contributing to the main topic. Mods may ask because they are performing their duty in forum moderation and need to know if people are finsished with the thread and give time that it will be closed when the correct answer has been given.
Sorry it took me so long to find this thread. I've done this before, but I promise I'll stop thank you
Hopefully a lot of you understand. If you are wanting to know other ways to assist I can easily address this.
