I noticed the other day that I've stopped being worried about looking childish. My daughter and I will skip through parking lots, wear silly hats in public and say "DOODY" in church until we start laughing. It is hard to say exactly when looking odd stopped bothering me. I'm willing to guess it was around the time I grew up.

There is no need to put a backstory full of justifications on your job application, Ms. Sanity. The people who know the story already (Moderators) already know the details. Everyone else (me, your readers, confused bronies) doesn't need a reason to be prejudiced against your application.

I question your motivations, Iago. This sounds a bit like you are upset over not receiving the respect you deserve and want to force people to give it to you by becoming a Moderator.

There are many things wrong with that idea. The easiest to latch onto is also the simplest: You can't make people treat you better. Mods in particular tend to draw a lot of hate on the server; some of these players circle around several staff members like angry, squeaky bats. Try clicking this link and putting a "Watch" on the Appeals forum-- read a week of that and you'll get the idea.

Rewrite this or remove it. Then really think about what is driving you for a position on the staff Ms. Sanity.

Bullying/cyberbullying is a real thing (even if Sean doesn't think so). Younger people struggle particularly hard on this subject because so much of their world is tied up in the things they put online. Even a little bit of criticism or negativity feels like an attack on the foundation of your life. As you accomplish more you'll notice comments will stop bothering you as much.

This application is starting to sound like a complicated revenge plot.

Disregarding how many moths[sic] you have-- why are you making it a special point to say there are many Moderators online not helping people? You are trying to join the staff here, right? If you get selected for a position then some of your future team members might remember you saying they suck at their job.

In the politest way possible I would like to point out this is not your own personal Tumblr blog. A couple more paragraphs of this and I would sign you a book deal for a young adult novel.

I understand you want to share all of the details of your superhero origin story. But this is a job application. Your personal story about almost catching an island griever while he stares hatefully into your eyes isn't helping. It is distracting and does not highlight any new qualities that would make you a good pick for the job. It's fluff. Filler. I think the younger crowd calls it "flavortext".

Remove and replace with something that explains a quality or skill you have that would make you an excellent Moderator.

You want to be BatMod and get revenge on everyone that has wronged you in the past. Got it.

Your hours look good, however for the love of crying koala cubs please put when you will be online. It is nice that you will play 5 hours a day but... when?? Are you volunteering for the midnight to 5am shift?

I would suggest putting what you were responsible for on the other server. For example were you the grief investigator? Head builder? Player Relations? MiniGameMod? Knowing what area you worked in would benefit your application ma'am.

Remove this and replace it with something that is demonstrable. You cannot be "trustworthy" by talking about how good you are with trust. That is some Ouroboros-level reasoning.

Try replacing this with something like:
"Responsible: I have a history of fulfilling duties and sticking with projects. I can give references to past jobs and show the effort I have put into building my island. I can apply this same level of responsibility to a Moderator position."​

Just an example, disregard if you like ma'am.

Remove this. Your age does not matter, just being able to write this well opens the door for you. Maturity is also not something you need to talk about; reading your application and seeing how you respond to criticism will say everything we need to know.

Read this post, please. You aren't listing qualifications, ma'am: You are writing whatever pops into your head without following up. Some of these could be good qualities if you rephrase a bit and explain how it would help you as a Moderator.

Remove everything with the strike-through text marking. You were doing excellent on this qualification until you took a left turn into how easily you stress out and everyone knows it. Why are you shooting yourself in the foot...? Handling stress well is quite literally the first thing you will need to learn as a staff member.

Your mood isn't a factor unless you can explain why it matters to the job. In real life you can be a raging bundle of homicidal intent or a stone-cold professional serial killer-- it doesn't affect kicking someone for spamming their casino.

YES, this is almost there. +1 -- You need to explain why responsibility is important to Moderators and this would be near-perfect. More of these qualifications, please!

Supporting your friends is fine, Ms. Sanity. You can support their applications, like their posts, talk about how great they make the toilet smell, etc. Refusing to support your friends is how you make enemies.

The line is when you start using your power or position to give things to people you like. You are conflating "bias" and "abuse of authority". It is corrupt to give benefits to people you like while denying them to others.

Suggesting a reword here: Focus more on "I do not unjustly punish people I do not like, nor do I give more assistance to friends". Or ignore me, these reviews are pretty bad.

+1, I really like the way you've stated this. I have not seen anyone word a quality like this before, nicely said. Fix that misuse of "there" when you have a moment.

All said, this was a rather nice application. You write well and seem to have a good understanding of what the position needs. You really need to take a look at your own motivations, ma'am: You seem to be very much into forcing people to respect and treat you nicely.

Note: I really doubt you can type 147-174 WPM as a young person as you are. That is insanely fast and really unrealistic. The worlds fastest is around 120 WPM. Are you sure you are not meaning CPM (Characters per minute?)
