My favorite question is "what do we respect?" It's the first thing I ask people, what they respect. Most people will answer "honesty," and maybe that's why I'm fascinated by it. We lie so much as human beings. And I think it has its merits. I don't believe in absolute honesty; I think there are times when a lie can be justified or even result in a better outcome for all. I love that. There has been a few times where I was being honest and unfortunately that person did not take it as a sign of respect. I agree fully.
That's the greatest benefit I have in not really needing people in my life. I have a very small number of people that I communicate with on anything close to a regular basis, and I'll put any of them aside if they lie to me, or if they go nuclear when I am honest with them. It also comes down to HOW you say it, though. You can tell someone they are the worst person you've ever known, but say it in a way that has them laughing with you by the end of it. But that's just me. Most people do not function like that.
yeah I usually try to be considerate of how Im talking to different people. Although Im not a perfect judge of character and we all make mistakes. I personally love having people in my life with close relationships but I know it doesn't always work out the way we want it. You have a gift sir that I do not have xD
