Upset, yes, but I think you went a little far. You outed him over it in a very public, very negative way. I hope Ghost takes it better than some of the rest of us, but I wouldn't be surprised if you burned a bridge over it.
As a greenie on net, I never planned on becoming a donor. I kind of wanted to be "a rich greenie turned mod". So to do so, I knew I had to be very involved in the community. I was on teamspeak talking to a person who I had never talked to before. We ended up talking for about 4 hours. Somewhere in those 4 hours we started talking about being a donor. He eventually upgraded me to donor10 during those 4 hours. My first reaction was surprised and if I should be upset with him because I couldn't be this "rich greenie" anymore. I decided to not be upset at all and instead go with it and be happy. The game became easier to play and people could actually see what I was saying all the time instead of some of the time. I was then upgraded by more people layer in on. Moral of this story: Perhaps you could try to look at this as a new opportunity.
Why? They were kind enough to do it. I think that if they didn't want to spend the 50$ on you, they wouldn't. Flashyyy lives on the other side of the world from me, but he still upgraded me. Plus, in the grand scheme of things, 50$ isn't that much.
