Im my opinion, as long as it isn't consistent and it's not being used in a abusive or derogatory manner toward another player, I'm fine with it.

The only oneswho can use the word fgt otherwise than in a derogatory manner are, as for the word ngr, the persons designed by those words. There is no way to prevent them from sounding derogatory when pronounced by anyone else. IMHO

Unpopular opinion: You can't be offended by a word that can't offend you.

I guess it depends on how you use the word.

So let's assume that you are white, and consequently assume that you cannot be offended by the word ngr. Is is possible to deduct from this that no one can be offended by this word?

I gather this is a most fallacious argument. No offense.

The issue here is that the gay community has less of a problem with the word "f*****" than the straight community.

Which you assume has been proven with two gay People stating here that they do not have a Problem with this word? Don't be silly.

Someone, I think it was you, wrote here that being offended by this word is "so 90's". Well, there are still plenty of gay people alive who grew up in the 90's, and even way before! Actually, I'd say there are way more of them than those who grew up after 2000. These gays had much much more to endure on behalf of their sexual orientation than you will ever, so I guess we all owe them some respect towards their sensitivities.

If it's fine by you to be called this Name, it's fine by me. But please don't expect every one to be as tolerant.

If it's not used in a derogatory manner, then I guess it's fine.
But considering that Minecraft is full of kids, you would be teaching them bad things ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°).

I'm in a group chat with around 21 members of the LGBTQ+ community. The name of the group chat is "f***** Fam," the average age of the person in that group chat is 20. I really don't think any of them are offended by that word, which is a lot to say, because the group is strictly tumblr based. (And people on tumblr are typically offended by everything). Straight people have a bigger issue with the word "f*****" than gay people. It's the plain truth.

And here we have it again. Generalizations. Also, you are talking about a Group with a average Age of 20, which again is no contradiction to what I'm saying.

New words appear in a blink of an eye, every day. But a change in Definition, or how a specific word is percieved, takes much much longer, even more if it's passing from negative to positive or neutral or vice-versa. Again, see "ngr". To date, every dictionary I could check defines fgt as pejorative word. That's not changing because all of a sudden a Group of Young homosexuals of the last Generation think it's cool to be called that.

Also check the translations for this word in other languages. These words are far from being accepted neutrally. At least in the languages I have off pat.

I'm bisexual, and I hear/use slurs that are generally viewed as derogatory to LGBT+ in real life.
I only ever have an issue with it if the use of it is intended to be actually derogatory, but I've dealt with enough ignorance regarding the subject in my life that it hardly means anything anymore when I hear it. That being said, I'm not easily offended. Ask anyone who has gotten an earful of my sense of humor. It depends on the situation, whom you're dealing with, and how easily they take offense to things.

Born 1990's, not offended by "f*****," but offended by bacon and shrek.
It's not "cool," it just isn't offensive.

I couldn't agree more. However, it's still inevitable that I'll have to deal with it as I live in the south.

A whole bunch of People, unfortunately. Politicians have parts of their campaign build up on this Topic. Grapes of idiots mass up on the streets to protest against gay marriage and gays in General. We had the same here in France. After eons of fightings for civil rights throughout the world, this seem actually to be one of few times ever where the mob protests AGAINST giving rights to someone. So actually, so much fruitcakes flying that the air gets rare :) .
